I finished up the scripting and terraining for a Kodo Tag remake.
Now I'm looking for a partner who could help me finish it up with customizing units.

EDIT: i played it but you should change the time when the ultralisks a bit longer becouse i havent had any time to make something on easy and they already came. And you could use the pygalisk from the campaign at the beginning for some variation. some other bugs or tips:
- If they killed your hero, you just lay on the grounds for some seconds becouse of the unit.
- i made it a bit something else with how you get the minerals, with income towers. than it is something else then exactly the kodo tag system :)
EDIT 2: i will make the terrain a bit better and change some few glitches :) send u the map when its done
I tried making a version in W3 a while back but gave up because I couldn't figure out how to get the kodo to only attack building if it was blocked. I liked kodo maps but the one this I hated is that people just sit in a base. BALLASLSADF SO BORING. I don't know if I would be any use to you but if you want to make one that doesn't involve mining then I would be willing to help.
With the one I started you got gold by saving players and civilians. There was one large save zone that players went to when they got caught and several small onces that the civilians went to. The civilians would just run around randomly and get attacked by the kodos and become the income source for the players. The rest of the games was based around mazing and using your heroes to kill kodos. I was even thinking of turning it into a team game. Players wouldn't attack each other directly, but could use spells to get a kodo to attack a player, stun a player, slow a player, mess with a players maze, ect. Just talking about it makes me want to strat it up in sc2, but I need to finish the one I'm on know lol.
Except theres a different income system (no banks) and it's not PvE. Its PvEvP or just PvE.
Plus sheet tag was basically, making boxes of farms. If you did that in my kodo tag it would attack them. If you maze the wolf in sheep tag would just attack the farms but if you did it in kodo tag it would be forced to walk through the maze.
i can join if needed, my primary focus would be the data editor :) im good with most other stuff besides terrain and galaxy (triggers im good at, script im not)
I believe this project, or at least maker, to be semi dead;
however, i myself am making a kodo tag, and am pretty far on. I have all the basic game play down. All that is needed right now is: Custom upgrades, abilities, models, a choice screen to choose a different builder. I am slowly trudging my way through these things, but if anyone wants to help...
To see one the game is like so far, go create it on bnet (search for it as kodo) and it will come up. (Note, i am working on a terrain overhaul, to differentiate from the terrain of other kodo tag games)

but most of the bugs are in the trigger editor, its kinda unplayeble, And im not good at data editor too :D

Lol. Very very possible. It says "Last login: 8 Oct 2010" so maybe he and his map are dead. :(
