Alright, done with my first idea, cant really get any other ideas as making a gun look protossy is... well... hard...
So yeah, its not exactly a "gun" :p
It looks the same on both sides, with the exception of that "Shield" I drew below being on the outer side.
Yes, the inner side looks dull around where the arm is... But it's the bloody inner side of a weapon. What's supposed to be there? I guess we could cover it up with a shield as on the other side if you guys dont like it the way it is, so that the dudes arm would be stuck in the middle of the weapon.
Also, the symbol-thingy-in-a-circle on the left of the shield should be the player decal.
Most of the edges around the weapon are sharp, so it can be used as a melee weapon as well.
Sorry that I didn't edit the image in photoshop beforehand, my comp died, and my image editing software with it, and im stuck on a crappy laptop >.>
EDIT: Oh yea, colors are the usual Nerazim platinum with emerald decorations (so the crystal and stuff are emerald)
The weapon fires beams from the spiky things at the end of it, energy comes from the crystal. Beam models can be the Soul Hunter beams that can be found in the previewer.
I'm working on polishing and coloring your sketch in photoshop right now (: if you don't mind tho :p
EDIT: done, i made an way to a place where some marines are killed by a group of lyotes. maybe a sidequest? were you have to find a missing group of marines?
really cool! when are u starting on animating it (if you do that). got another question, where did you learned this modelling? I really want to learn 3dmax. I already started with the basics but how do I become like you?
did you made an integer variable with an array of how many players are in your map? if so, make a condition and press enter. click the first bracklet (or double-click) and above the window you see type: with a dropdownmenu. There u choose integer. The first is you variable and then as array, picked player (you should have pick each player in playergroup) and the second one 120.
well that create another trigger + a variable (integer) with an arraysize of how many players u got.
on that new trigger make as event, any unit dies.
then search for "modify variable (integer)" and set the variable to your variable you made. as array choose "owner of unit" and as unit "killing unit"
then in your first trigger (or another new trigger) make as event "map init" of the game. first an "Pick every player and do actions" (or something like that :D) And than an if then else action . With if-condition set the type to integer and choose your variable. and as array "picked player" then set the second parameter to 120.
