Just got this in the mail from somebody. I have removed the links just in case this is a real email (don't want somebody else messing with my account). It got put into junk mail, but so do a lot of things that are legit.

I fear that this is a scam. I do have a WOW account, but it's only a trial account and I have never tried to sell it (who would want a level 5 warlock?) I'm just wondering if any of you have received the same unjustified email. Because then it's definitely a scam. I feel that it is a scam because you will note the lack of periods after each of the all caps sections. Then it says "Please be aware that if unauthorized access to this account, it may lead to further action against the account." This is not good grammar, and I feel blizzard is going to write professional-looking emails.

Also Blizzard even says in the terms of use that they will never ask to verify your account details since they already have them on their severs. 100% Nigerian scam.

It's a scam. I'm not even sure if Blizzard sends out these type of "you seem to be selling your account, could you confirm you're not?"-type mails AT ALL.

They say " Verify your account ownership" which they do, do. Thats a mimic of a real email the do send.

nor does this email... its a mimic of areal email they do send.

they are not, they are banning you and telling you why and how long
they don't warn, investigate, check accounts
Also, Blizzard doesn't use email, nearly at all. If they tell you to go to some part of their site, do, but normally, and not using the links provided at the mail.
Blizzard will never tell u to take action OR ELSE they'll ban/suspend your account. they just do it, and u can go back an try to remedy the situation, in which case u will know it's legit by the fact that your account is frozen.

I get like two of this sort of WoW scam email a day lol. Luckily for me, Gmail automatically puts them in spam :D
Also a lot of them have spelling/grammar mistakes which Blizz emails most certainly would not have.
take a look at the header whenever unsure
return path tells you everything

This is actually a pyramid scheme. If you verify 2 accounts being sold and those accounts verify 2 more accounts being sold. . .
Scam.
