Funny timing on this thread. I saw that movie when it came out, and I actually saw it again two days ago when I watched it with the GF. It's just "one of those" movies full of awesomeness which only cool and clever people know about. In a somewhat similar fashion to Shaun of the Dead, Firefly, Kick-Ass, Team America - World Police, and a bunch more. Everytime I've seen someone refer to any of those movies (or understand references to them), they ended up being genius people.
I believe you are using the term genius rather loosely. Albert Einstein said that "there is a very fine line between genius and insanity". With all those movies, the people referencing them were probably the latter.

Well, yeah. I mean 'awesome person' more than 'genius'. Though the two do tend to come mostly hand in hand, I feel. Einstein was both, for example =P
Sometimes in order to accomplish a goal you need both smarts and crazy. You need the crazy because you keep being told "that isn't possible," and you need the persistence of a madman. Sometimes you never know who you really are unless your backed against a wall. When that happens release the crazy and see what happens! The genius is needed when you are actually trying to learn how to do what you want.

Iunno, I didn't enjoy that much any of those movies. They are not bad, but not great either. I would say they are developed for an audience I don't seem to belong.
I just watched Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. . . don't ask me how I missed this the first time around. . .
I think I can now die a happy man. . .
Discuss!
I must say that movie made me go "wtf". I now own it on blueray =P
Enjoyable. I give it 4 Evil Exes out of 7.
But what if I want to ask you how you missed it D:
It made me go "wtf" as well, but a good kind of "wtf", a great kind.
That the "I'm on top of the world ma!" movie?

I don't like this movie. Does this make me dumb?

Kick-Ass +1
Favorite movie of all time. (Well, behind Happy Gilmore and Sixth Sense, but they are different kinds of movies)
Great to be back and part of the community again!
You would be, but you've already proven your awesomeness.
