Beat the game 5 hours ago, starting on nightmare tomorrow, Great game, Love the last 2 acts really great stuff.
I didnt speed run, and I did every main quest, It took about 14 full hour, Loads of great gear. Really fun.
The game can get really difficult at times, Especially with 4 others joining in:D, we 5 manned Diablo Wiped 1 time, I love that witch doctor.
All the Cinematics are beautiful, I wonder if Inferno will give some new Cinematic for the end. I dunno how the fuck people are supposed to play it on Hardcore lol. It is ridiculous at times.
And no me saying Diablo was in it was not a spoiler, NO SHIT HES IN IT ITS CALLED DIABLO lawl. for anyone who wants to troll me. lawl.
I lagged the entire time, but it was playable lag lol. I really wish blizzard had given the option to disable shaders like in starcraft 2, that would have removed all my lag.... Fun game Definatly worth it.
2 things: In diablo 3 there is a lot of level 60 gear on the AH already; global release and cross server playing; those chinamen gonna get rich.
andddd; has anyone looked at the hours played on .... any maps? it is funny. Since D3 came out, the total hours played on page 1 maps is at about 1/3 of its normal value.
I also played it trough and even tried nigthmare a bit (which seems way more fun).
I think the fun part was 2 first acts and the last 2 acts were a bit of dissapointement. The feeling was just as you would be smacking worms or something (without challenge).
The hardest boss was in act2, which was partly due the delay and partly due boss 1 shotting me with my money gear :E.
I played DH which is really nice. Some skills do seem a bit off though, but its always nice to have variety to play a bit differently every now and then.
Overal it was enojyable, but perhaps even more when the last Acts aint such a joke....(yea the bosses were not that hard....DAAAMNNN YOUUU 2nd act!)
The blacksmith is also pretty odd thing. Since you can get similar gear cheaper on Auction house...I wonder if that will be same thing later....
You think the first two acts are most fun? I actually think act 3 and 4 was way more fun to play. I agree that bosses were too easy though. I'll get to know soon enough, how difficult they are on nightmare.
Wow, already completed the game, day 3? GG life? No wait, this game is too easy, seeing what the beta was like, nothing like D2. The graphics and the gameplay is what make the game imo. Story, so so fail. The fairy level is only pulling the game down, who would've thought such crappy 'secret level' was for real.
its the same difficulty as D2... I beat D2 in about 3 hours, this one took 8 hours.... I would say thats a major improvement, There is still 3 more difficulties, ANd Nightmare seems to be about as hard as Normal act 3 on D2
So the Difficulty is nicely scaled, and before I am called a liar by someone lol, I just did a complete Diablo 2 run not 3 months ago from Normal to hell lol + cow levels.
Not going to spoil it for you, but there is a Diablo 3 Secret level... but its not cows lawl.
The auction house makes the game laughably easy; well that combined with unsocketing gems.
Step 1: Buy insanely expensive gems
Step 2: buy good rares with open sockets

Seriously, when I got to diablo on normal, in a single run through, I had over 600 DPS and destroyyyyyed him without taking damage (Thanks 40 life gained per hit)
I had a huuuge setback in time due to leveling my Witch Doc to level 20 (nearly 21, even) before seriously starting my Wizard, but I'm slowly starting to catch up. Done the two rampart quests at the start of act 3 on my 27 Wizard now. Still a looong way from my 54-55-56 palls who are nearly done with Hell, though.
Art - 9/10. They've scored big time in this department thanks to cleverly layering and saturating elements, drawing ones eye to shinies and scaries.
Gameplay - 8/10. Pretty much same as all ARPGs, click, click, click, maybe do a 1 2 3, click. Run like hell etc. But, it's fun to do so.
Balance - 4/10. Seriously, go play a Witch Doctor. OP as fuck.
Replayability - 2/10. Five classes. All the same on each play through except maybe some skill variations. This lets it down big time. I can't assign attributes. I can't specify what skills/directions I want to go towards. I am cordoned off into a little neat box and limited to x skills, y runes and z passives. Casual as fuck in this regard.
Storyline - 1/10. They tried. They failed. It's Blizzard after all.
Cinematics - 5/10. Needs to be more, but I understand the time/money constraints on creating high quality cinematics. Diablo II just felt a lot more epic. Partly due to storyline.
Nardival Points - 6.5/10. It's pretty fun. Pretty lacking for a final release though... no PvP.. no Set Items... Legendary items still being 'worked on'... etc etc etc.
Redeeming Features - 5/10. Slim possibility of the Currency Auction house actually taking off. Will people actually spend 'real' cash when they can just grind and buy the same things for game 'gold'.
Most Annoying - 7/10 - Leoric, Butcher, Rakanishu, Diablo. Originality please. I know it's a god-damn sequel but Assmodan and Belial were about the only 'new' things in regards to storyline/plot development/general franchise advancement.
Second Most Annoying - Complete lack of features which were shown and hyped up at various conferences, previews and reveals only to be completely scrapped in the Beta and in the Release. Mystic. Recipes. Designs. Plans.
Total Score - 7/10. Mainly due to the unfinished feel, weak story line and lack of features on release. Guess we just have to wait... Again, it's Blizzard after all.
Final comment: Given Blizzards usual adage of "It's done when it's done". This just felt rushed through and mediocre. I have a level 58 Witch Doctor with about 16 hours played, including AFK time and my falsely placed interest in the story-line.
I know what the secret level is but this is moronic for 2 reasons:
- Offensive for anyone who likes ponies. These are not ponies more like unicorns from the 80s that no one likes, so I am not personally offended but it's almost as if these smiling clouds and rainbows is what MLP is about (if it is implied) - this is not what it is like. Also it's not pony world at all this is a mixture of Kirby the pink teddy bear with poneis and some flowers gawd knows from where. This is a very wrong idea and promotes hating, only enjoyed by those who don't like it, to me this is utter BS.
- Such colors in D3 - wtf is that? It makes D3 so low, Cow level was times better this is sooo out of place, some cartoony shit? Better should've kept Cow level this is just retarded.
And besides the graphics and gameplay which still have SOMEthing to offer (graphics are great), somehow it is so easy and fast that I'm surprised - where is the kills you did many times on the same bosses to get some Set Items like you did in D2?
Here so easily to get all difficulties that im so surprised - you can do a few runs on the bosses and yo'd already be tired. I did only several runs on the Beta on Leoric and only with 1 character and I already got tired of repeating it only 5 times, while in D2 I've done tens of times liek fifty times and more runs on bosses - never got tired of doing it.
Also when I played D2 it was before 1.10 and I was playing SINGLE, dude with this multiplayer you only jump straight to the last waypoints portals and whatever, ignore the rest of the game? Just like it was in Beta?
And this multiplyer makes you unstoppable tanks for the creeps - it is no secret that Blizzard lately made more NOOB friendly games their old ones were much harder. Can't waiting for HotS, I liked D2 but here I can do without D3.

The rest of your points are Mute, Obviously you would have hated the D2 Multiplayer, because every game in that was a speed run. The entire game lasted 2 hours and was ridiculously easy, There are times when I have trouble on nightmare in this one, And I was Playing Hardcore, and could beat baal in hell difficultiy in D2LoD.
Yes it is simplifyed, and for anyone who hates the rune system, there is a gameplay box that you can check that changes that. but I havnt used it yet. I am glad that they simplifyed it, I hated making 3 Druids for 1 complete character... it sucked.
OH and WITCH DOCTORS ARE NOT OP!!!!, They die easy, They do low damage, the only good side is that they have minions that can be used as tanks, And their Ultimate BLOWS. Trust me I am a lvl 38 Witch Doctor Right now... and it sucks....Wish I would have gone Wizard or Barb, both are soo much stronger then me.
As for the story, The story was really good, But idiots dont like it because you have to listen to every dialog, where as in Diablo 2, it was just eh cutscenes you had to watch...
My ONLY problems with D3 are this

And Diablo should have been meatier... he looked like The Butcher Ate his share of food.....
What I really like about the game is the ELITE fights. They sure put up a good fight. When you face like group of jailers + Ice guy. Things can get rough :D
I also hated the story. Felt so cliche and predictable. I also think it affects that I didnt enjoy chapters 3-4 that much. And as for the boss fights I felt like my own boss fights on my own sc2 map are quite on par with those :D.

As for the replayability...hmm...It does seem to get a bit better when its harder and I really like that you can swap skills so it doesnt get that repeative (I usually use 3 different builds, which all seem to work pretty well).

Not really. Atleast the presentation of Sudden boost up of power in evils forces and so on...if you played ff5/6 the evil starts with full power and grows stronger from there. Well In ff6 it was a bit different, but in the second world evil was at fullpower.

The black soul stone held all the major evils in one stone, But it was starting to break apart, So they were GOING to go to hell and use the Hellforge to destory them once and for all, BUT aria Turn against the world and then Diablo who was in a weakened state Absorbed all the other evils, becoming Diablo The prime Evil, instead of Diablo, The Lord of Terror.
Because They Evils were Touched by the black soul stone, Part of their souls Was trapped in it so they didnt die when their main soul stones were shattered in the First game, they just because Massively Weak.
Re-Play the game, Listen to all the speech, and Pick up and listen to any books you can find and you will understand it. It wasnt as cut and dry as you think, it was a really cunning story. But you need A lot more of the puzzle then just the Cutscenes.
A lot more is explained too, The Skeleton king is explained from beginning when he arrived as a human in Tristam to when he died and because the skeleking.
If you listen to all the books, there is really about 20 different stories, Each very Unique and Very good. Of course Blizzard is known to add stuff on higher difficulties so there could be more.
You seriosly cannot say you werent expecting that to happen...so why do it in such a lame way.
Anyway at this point its obvious you liked it I didnt. I didnt even like how it changed from act3 to act4...sorta like thrown IN YOUR FACE.
Also the powerlevels were kinda twisted. I dont wana spoil anymore than I have, but I just felt deep dissapointment how easilly you can take over something that has been there for billion years.
So many points that I do not like. I seriosly just feel like it wasnt natural transition....but thats just me. I suppose its enough said for this matter. And yea...when its so easy on normal. It also takes away from the immersion that something powerful is going on...

I wasnt expecting Aria thats for dammed sure, And I thought Leoric was Her father there for a while, I was expecting Diablo to rise again, and through a well executed plan... but other then that, there really wasnt any clues to the conclusion. Plus its obviously not over, Blizzard never stops without an expansion lol, And the ending felt like it was hanging off even though there wasnt an obvious cliff hanger like the last one.
I did enjoy it Thoroughly i am suprised and the amount of people who dont like it, I think it is really nice and really fun to play. Normal difficulty has always been too easy though, LOL in Diablo 1, I solo'd Diablo with a lvl 2 Dagger with Knockback, it whooped his ass and he didnt touch me lawl. Now that was an easy fight.
I did feel that Diablo himself looked like an anorexic woman, and was Way to easy to defeat though... he didnt run around and attack, or anyhting, He was slow, and hit medium fashion... But everything leading up to him was fun, but the end DID suck, so dont get me wrong, I love the game, hate the end.

Plus its obviously not over, Blizzard never stops without an expansion lol, And the ending felt like it was hanging off even though there wasnt an obvious cliff hanger like the last one.
I did enjoy it Thoroughly i am suprised and the amount of people who dont like it, I think it is really nice and really fun to play. Normal difficulty has always been too easy though, LOL in Diablo 1, I solo'd Diablo with a lvl 2 Dagger with Knockback, it whooped his ass and he didnt touch me lawl. Now that was an easy fight.
I did feel that Diablo himself looked like an anorexic woman, and was Way to easy to defeat though... he didnt run around and attack, or anyhting, He was slow, and hit medium fashion... But everything leading up to him was fun, but the end DID suck, so dont get me wrong, I love the game, hate the end.
