Kerrigan is brutal, but Starcraft 2's dialogs and mainly the way her character is going is clearly damaging her reputation as a villain. :(

and Kerrigan not truly evil she was made evil not by choice as Joker is xD

I gotta agree with progammer that Batman and Star Wars movies games didn't really picture their villains in a great way, so Kerrigan rules in that respect.

How about Darth Vader then? He was corrupted by the old chancellor who is evil through-and-through.
And he turned good in the end, regretting his deeds. That is.. just before he got zapped by lightning and died a suffocating death. Being good really didn't play off for him.

In the story of Starcraft it is said that Kerrigan got transformed, but still retained her own mind. So even if her mind was turned evil by the Overmind, at least she continues to be evil by her own choice.

And the joker was transformed into a person of madness, too. Before his accident he was a pretty nice neighbourly person... ahh who am I kidding - he always was a crazy sicko.

This is stupid. The best video game villains are to be found in the good RPGs, where characters are the primary focus of the game.

The real winner should be some Bioware villain, like Saren, Loghain or Darth Malak.
