Hi mapster. First of all, I need to say these ARE NOT official StarCraft toys. For those of you who don't know yet Blizzard signed with MegaBloks, not Lego, so the chance of getting official versions is small.
But I dreamed of StarCraft minifigures since I first played SC1 demo, and several new pieces made some of them possible. You can probably find other custom version searching the internet, but I challenged myself to create minifigures for StarCraft characters with no custom parts. It means I can only use whatever pieces Lego releases, no modifications to them, not even stickers, which are commonly used to make face and body prints for custom minifigures.
I already have a pretty good Nova, Kerrigan (pre-infestation), Tychus, and Raynor but he is missing his shirt and jacket. Currently under work (and by that I mean I'm slowly buying the pieces) are Mengsk, Swann and possibly Stetmann, Horner and Mira Han. I'd love to make more characters, but there aren't pieces that match what we see in the game.
EDIT: Sorry for the shitty image quality. The camera is old, the flash isn't working and all that...
@phanalax128: Go I had that idea too. There's one guy in Deviant Art that makes custom parts using 3D printers, but his results don't look that great to me. His models are awesome, the appearance of the material when looked up close is what bugs me. I don't know if they could be made better with other printing options out there.
@FenixKissKerrigan: Go I think I can make one. I've seen a lego head that looks similar, but I wouldn't know what to use as his body. Have we ever seen Duke outside his SC1 portrait?
@Juxtapozition: Go I use this program, but I can't use it to get the parts, because I live in Brazil and they won't ship it to me. Too bad, some colors for certain parts are only available through it.
EDIT: In fact, you can't order from it anymore. Which is a shame, because those are colors are being sold for high prices now.
EDIT 2: I wasnt planning to make the Queen of Blades, because there are no good options for her zerg hair or her overall appearance, but I had this idea of how to make the "wings", so I gave it a few tests. I came up with two-claws and 3-claws variants. Sorry for the 20-year-old dirty parts, they were just for testing. I didn't even have a fifth spike to complete the 3-claws variant. I'm already planning to buy the parts in the best colors available for her.
I like the way she looks like the good old Brood War Queen of Blades. I just made Valerian Mengsk today. It's not perfect, but it is definitely recognizable. I'll upload a picture when I get my camera working again.
@Flinkelinks: Go I'm curious to see it. I'd love to make a Valerian too. Right now I have Arcturus' head and hair, but no idea of what body to use for him.
@houndofbaskerville: Go Yeah, what a devious smile. But that is a placeholder head ;-)
And here is Matt Horner. You can see he is very serious, I'm not sure its because the Raynor minifigure keeps drinking or because I said I was going to make a Mira Han figure.
An update on Sarah. I changed her hair and added the goggles.
@JacktheArcher: Go Both zerg arms stick to a gun or a bar, and this bar connects to that neck bracket. I can post a shot, but you will be disappointed. I haven't found a better way to connect those elements.
@JacktheArcher: Go Here is a shot of her back, you can see I'm improvising right now with a gun, but a bar would fit too. Ideally it would be a short bar, long enough to hold both arms while connected to the neck acessory, but as I said in my first post I'm not using custom parts and Lego bars are all longer than that gun.
Ah well that makes a fair bit of sense, unfortunate that there really aren't any short bars probably none other than the one you got right there. I gotta say they all look really good though.
If I could I would totally make some of these but I haven't bought a lego set in a number of years so it might be a bit difficult but I'll look into it.

Nice stuff, big fan of lego figures myself. Maybe if i had a 3d printer I could make custom pieces for lego guys. that would be awesome :)

You can download this program and make anything you want out of legos.

You can send your creations in and get the parts sent back. Probably pretty costly but in case you're interested.

A little update. And I'll be able to post Matt Horner by tomorrow.

All of it looks awesome. Can I get a back shot of kerrigan I'm curious as to what exactly you put on for the tings to attach to.

Very cool.
@MaskedImposter: Go Thanks

Here is Tychus with a better visor, and his new rifle!!!
Hey, this is kinda cool, :).
