hey how can i get my map out there by posting on thees forums (which forum) and on the starcraft 2 custom map forum? anywhere else where i can get my map actually played
If a moderator sees your thread and thinks it's cool they can make a post directly to the front page with some info about the map and a link. Normally it seems like maps with videos get newsed much more often than those without.

I'm trying to get started doing some video map reviews, and I'd be happy to do yours if you'd like. If you map is solid, polished, and fun, it can prove to be a really good promotion for you. If there's still a little to be desired, you might want to shore up all the details before doing too much promotion. If you have microphone and skype, you can join in the review and get an opportunity to talk about your map. Send me a PM if you're interested in doing this.
You can also submit you map for map night, which is approximately the same thing, except it will get played by a group of people. This will generally be better if your map has no popularity, and it's hard to get a BNet game going to do a proper review. Playing on map night ensures we can fill or nearly fill your map. If you want to do that, post in the forum and your map will be added to the list. It will be added to the bottom of the list, however, so I can't promise your map will be played for another few weeks. However, if you join us for map night and mention your map, we will almost certainly play it.

kk thx guys jaminv i have barley started but i mean i hope it will be done in a month or 2 and is a map out of 3 or 4 not a campaign im not combining the 3 maps til the fourth cause im no skilled so im guessing there not going to get alot of plays til maybe all 3 are post
I think the point is: you should use all resources available to promote your map. Post on the various forums (here/Blizz/TL). Make a youtube video, get it newsed. And look into community-supported projects intended to help map exposure (like map night).
Every little bit helps.

If anyone wants me to news a map, just send me a PM about it. Otherwise, it's whatever we find while browsing, :).
Also http://www.teamliquid.net/ is a good site to post your map as it is the biggest english sc2 site.
