God, someone unbanned him and his first post is immediately ignorant, derogatory and mostly unconstructive. Good job, whoever that was.
2 Things, First, Shut up, I was unbanned a LONG time ago, my ban was actually only about 3 days total... nearly 2 years ago.
2nd. There was nothing ignorant about that... Quit crying just because you want something that will never come. It was a bad idea that had no place in the first place. Blizzard made it clear it wasn't coming. You would know this if you read the old post that blizzard replied to on this site. They specifically said that the map marketplace would NOT work with an open games list. When the open games list was created all hope for that was gone. That's the end of the story. If you would quit turning a blind eye to things to satisfy your own bloated ego you would know that. The arcade community is pretty much dead unfortunately. HoTS DID NOT boost the community nearly as expected. The arcade is now LESS populated than the Warcraft 3 Online Custom Community. Vindicator, I am sorry you sunk time into this, However you don't place all your hopes on an announcement of a feature that was only mentioned ONE TIME in any of the starcraft 2 announcements as a footnote. That was your fault.
NOW, that that's out of the way. heres what I really think.
They are going to quickly get LoTV out of the way. Since the story was done a long time ago, They already said that they almost didn't add ANY new units. So the new units they are now adding are all just expansion fodder(Sorry) Yes the game will still be AWESOME for melee gameplay. However the inclusion of the lurker shows they are just adding stuff to keep people from complaining.
I think the RTS team at blizzard will stick to Heroes and we won't see a new RTS title from blizzard for quite a while(Unless something large and revolutionary comes which IS blizzards style of doing things, SC2 Aside) Though I do think there is a CHANCE that blizzard WILL create a map marketplace However it won't use the galaxy editor/Sc2Engine, but instead will be a heavily modified Sc2Engine that is made SPECIFICALLY for versatility. They will make Tons of assets for people to use in them . I have always said if they do that and make the Arcade a FREE standalone platform that requires ONLY an asset pack that is under 4 gigs than MAYBE you can get people to swallow it and play awesome maps. It would use the galaxy editor, however with a completely new GUI that focuses on making core aspects such as building heroes a VERY easy task.
So Vindicator, Sorry it's your fault, you betted on a maybe. Dogmai did this too, however he accepted his losses and continued his life... 2 years ago when it became SO OBVIOUS. Mod for your ENJOYMENT, they way it's supposed to be. Not for personal gain.
Also Mozared quit insulting others... Relax.
As for masked imposter yeah they actually originally built the arcade completely around the Itunes App Marketplace, Deleterious actually worked there first and was later recruited by blizzard entertainment to help build theirs, Though in the end it was just that a carbon copy of the Itunes App Marketplace. The idea that the cream will rise to the top is TotalBS, and has been proven time and time again that some of the BEST stuff always gets shoved to the bottom and forgotten about Which is EXACTLY what happened when Sc2 first launched.
The way (Some)mappers get their maps to the top now(or at-least they were doing it about 2 years ago) they would have about 8-16 people sitting alone in games all day. one guy I knew(I wont say because I am not here to defame anyone) actually used to run over a dozen instances of Sc2(Minimized so it was taking minimal resources) on virtual OS's. This was right after they made the arcade free in January.
Just watched the videos, and while I am not saying I am feel any negative way towards blizzard.... all of the units/ changes look like they were current assets or assets slightly modified. The budget is looking low boys.

Yeah, you were unbanned once. Guess who you had to thank for that? It's great that you're using your multiple accounts to hide the fact that you are technically in fact still banned, though.

Your ignorance was assuming that people here are just sitting around waiting for the map market. Nobody actually said anything about that; just that we'd like any kind of news on it rather than silence. Nobody is 'crying'. You completely failed notice this and yet went out of your way to insult people anyway, and you're even doubling your efforts now. 'Haha you people still think X, so funny'? 'satisfy your own bloated ego'? What is any of this necessary for? D'you have something to compensate for that you need to insult so willy-nilly? And what's next? "Lolol I was trolling u fell for it"? Further antagonizing the one mod who has ever stood up for you? Good job dude.
Keep it up and you'll surely end up being around here much longer.
SearchingChicken: I would recommend looking up some psycological terminology such as "projecting yourself on others" and see if you can maybe learn something about yourself and why you speak to others the way you do.
If you simply enjoy bringing what most perceive as toxicity and negativity to the community, you won't make many friends and likely won't last long here again. I don't state this as a threat, but as a matter of fact in an effort to open your eyes in hopes that you take this opportunity to become a better person. The responsibilities of the moderators are to do what they can to keep the community positive/enjoyable and a place that is welcoming to new mapmakers. If individuals in the community are perceived as toxic, argumentative, or negative, this plays a part in significantly stunting the site and community's growth far more-so than in most communities due to the fact that there is little to no documentation for the editor, and personal learning is crucial (a.k.a.: being a part of communities like sc2mapster) to becoming a good mapmaker.
Any justifications for behavior such as this are unfortunately irrelevant as you are solely held responsible for your own attitude towards others.

it is really difficult to hear what he is saying with all the background noise, I am almost tempted to make a text document of the entire conversation, but that would be a crap ton of typing lol
Man I wish I could go this year! Have fun everyone! :D
If app stores are any indication of what a map marketplace would be like, I think I'll agree about it being a bad idea. (So many bad products)
