So something strange is happening with Tofu and no other maps I have, when I go to open the map the editor will lag out and crash 11 seconds after trying to create actors at the final stage of loading.
This also affects my backup I made yesterday (when there was not a problem) and the backup I made this morning (again, no problem) ...
At the moment those are the two most recent back ups, the others are over a month old and a tonne of work has been done since then, so I really don't want to go use something back that old.
What have I been doing in the last day? Overwriting default decal textures with custom dds ones ...
Anyone know whats up?
Edit> I managed to load the backup from yesterday, after a very very long load, I am thinking that custom decal textures are somehow slowing down the sc2 editor ... does anyone else have experience in this area? Custom decals etc.
@DogmaiSEA: Go If you don't save MIP maps they will lag as hell. The same goes for custom textures. If your comp can't handle them it will probably crash.
The other day, I had a similar problem! My editor loads up without the terrain editor opened. And when I goto open the terrain editor to put in units, it'll begin loading until it starts to load actors. That's when it crashes out. I could still test document and have it run fine.
I spent hours backtracking and trying to figure out what's wrong. The problem was an actor. I had an actor destruction -> set opacity. (its suppose to be actor creation -> set opacity) The editor does not like that, it looks harmless but it crashes the editor.

Yep mate, it was the Mip Maps that were causing the problem, good find. I figured because you didn't need mipmaps for UI that you wouldn't need them for in game textures ... -_-
Thanks.
Btw, Sandround I don't touch the data editor, but thanks anyways mate :)
