As you know, the point of mapster is to help you, the map maker, whether that be by the tutorial section, trigger/data questions, or just getting your map out there, if we can help, we will try. One of the powerful tools we have is the front page. Though its true only people who view the site, will end up seeing the front page, the truth is we get a great deal of front page views that never make it to the project workplace section, or other areas like that, however they also come to check out new maps on the front page.
So today I bring you an easy way to submit your map. Simply fill out the information for your map and hit submit!
Things to know
-You must have a youtube video for your map.
-You must have a project page or thread on these forums to link to.
-Sometimes there are important things we need to news, or there might be people in front of you, so please be patient, if you submit your map, we will get to it (unless you PM with you an issue)
-If you have issues with submiting your map, please send me (molsterr) a PM
-Please try to keep your description simple, yet full of the "fun" and interesting information about your map that you want people to see.
FOR NOW, send me (molsterr) a pm if you submit something, so I can make sure everything is working good!
<script>
$.ajaxSetup({
"error":function() {
document.getElementById('mol_wait').innerHTML=" <font color='red'> There was an error reading content, refresh, if this still happens please send a PM to molsterr</font> ";
}});
jQuery.getJSON("http://m-productions.net/sc2mapster/wait_time.php?callback=?",
function(data) {
document.getElementById('mol_wait').innerHTML=data.wait;
});
</script>

Your Sc2mapster User Name: <input name="user" type="text" style="width: 250px;"/>
Name of your Map or Project: <input name="title" type="text" style="width: 250px;"/>
Link Project page or thread: <input name="link" type="text" class="input_text_news" style="width: 250px;"/>
Basic "summary" of your map [that would show on main page]. <textarea name="content" style="width:350px; height:150px"></textarea>
Youtube video ID [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=<font color="green">AQQ0k06wpNc</font>]
<input type="text" name="youtube" MAXLENGTH="11" class="input_text_news" style="width: 150px;border: 1px solid black;background-color: #464646;color: #F60"/>
I have it stickied in the project workplace, we have so many stickies in this section already =P
and if we see an amazing map, we'll still PM the user asking if they want it on the front page.. but this way, more users will know that this is something they can do, so its just to help them out.
its also preferred this way...as I made a full system backstage that will automatically keep track of these submissions a well as auto generate all the wiki code for the news article =P
So..much preferred if people just used this =P
Yeah. We manually did it all before and it was a mess. We had, like, a 250 post thread backstage about news. This way everything is nice and organized.

@Molsterr: Go
I like this initiative. Good luck people!
Is this procedure now REQUIRED to get the first page or just optional?
P.S.
Shouldn't this thread be sticky? :P

Zelda is this what your were referring to? It's not exactly what I thought to use for mapnight.
No, what he was talking about is a another project im working on, which should be out at some point in the very near future.

Nice :D Too bad my map is far from being done x/
It seems that this feature lacks some tipe of feedback, I don't know if my form was submitted succesfully or not :P
if you didnt get an error it worked =P
Theres only so much I can do without haven access to the websites source. =P
As he said, it's shocking he's been able to do this without access to the site code. You will get an error if it does not work.
I can prove it to you (this was copied from the receiving end of the program in the staff forum):
Did anyone use the form besides me? :D
added "Estimated wait times"
its 100% generated by a formula I made based on how many maps are submitted so.... yeah =P take it with a grain of salt for now.
Yes. But I'll keep who a secret for now.
This is such a good idea, props to this site.
Too bad I can't make a video... :(
is this thing still active?
