Hi I just recently got Starcraft 2 and the new map system in the game has really confused me, along with the battle.net system.
I just want someone to explain to me, how to heck do I play a custom singleplayer map made by myself?
Since the battle.net system is currently screwed, I won't bother making multiplayer maps, so I go for singleplayer RPGs instead.
So I started working on one. I know I can simply use the "test document" thingy or whatever, but apart from that, how do I play the map from the game? Becuase Im thinking that if or when I release the map to other players, how will they start it, since I cant find a way to start it from the game. I've looked at the singleplayer map list but its not there. Sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm kinda new to the galaxy editor.
Login to Battle.net, select "Single Player" and on the right-hand pane, create a Custom Game. I believe you'll still have to publish the map to see it there.
Or, you can always use MapCraft. The current version is using the wrong Extinction map path, you just need to update it in the Settings to use it. I'm working on getting an updated version out.
You can do it, but the map launces as melee 1v0 even if its "use map settings" map (no idea why) and when theres no start point, you have just shadow everywhere.

@Sixen: Go
So not even singleplayer maps can make it through the absurd limits then, I give up ;(
Can't you just drop the map on the Starcraft2.exe? Or was this possibility removed after the beta (haven't tried it since)?
