I believe that blizzard means getting a players Battle.net ID (Might not be exactly the name and identifier of the player, but it will definitely be something unique to the player that you can save in banks which in turn allows you to verify the owner of it)
Thank Blizzard Dota for this. They wouldn't change this much in the editor if they didn't need it themselves :P
"Data Editor UI has been reorganized for a better workflow" - this could mean anything... they moved one button or reworked the whole thing. Too bad the PTR is NA only :/
The editor still can't make me donuts. I am disappointed.
But seriously, this is too good to be true... It's not April though. Blizzard, what are you playing at? Are they listening to us? Could they be? Is it possible?
Meh, we will see. I hope this doesn't turn out to be like Fun or Not, which was in fact too good to be true. I am going to try and not get my hopes up too much. But hey, I don't want to be negative. This is soooo awesome! I literally can't wait!
Also, what happens when I download the PTR? Will the changes to my map be lost when I try and load it in the normal editor?

I was going to say the same thing, it's clear the majority of these changes came to fix some issues with their dota development ;)
The patch "base\Mods\Core.SC2Mod\Base.SC2Data\UI\Layout\Glue\BattleUI.SC2Layout" could not be applied. Grrrrr.
Its amazing all the great changes they have, like my hero can learn abilities without stopping, little fixes like that and I <3 Blizzard.
"Increased maximum number of unit command card buttons per card from 32 to 64."
About half a year too late. I manage my 3 different submenus with unit training by morphing them into bunkers with different command cards. Very ridiculous work-around. I don't think I'll bother remaking it though...
@Mozared: Go

The first use a guy I'm working with came up with for this was perma-banning people from maps lol
That was my first idea of it as well. So if people hack your bank, just ban em. End of story.

Great to be back and part of the community again!
moz you creepy person you =P
handle is what blizzard calls your name+id number
Well, either I am misunderstanding "patch note sneak peak" or, Sixen is lying about it being live.
EDIT: ......What I'm saying is it doesn't actually say its live yet.
called ptr.

I still cant have sex with the editor :(
On an unrelated notes, great changes !
Edit: OMG i should do that now:
love the trigg editor changes <3
From what I can tell, it translates basically as "we just moved dropdowns and chnaged them to a tab with plus sign"
Also, xml editor takes a faaair amount of time to load.
Go play Antioch Chronicles Remastered!
Also, coming soon, Antioch Episode 3: Thoughts in Chaos!
Dont like mapster's ugly white? Try Mapster's Classic Skin!
So hardly a change... how disappointing
great xD.

Good thing they increased the limit.
Overall a great path. I like it very much.
Now we just need a way to pick up right clicks on dialog items. I cant believe they had hover before right click though seems just silly to me.
''Maybe you can get NASA to convince Blizzard to increase the publish time-out duration to something over 2 minutes ;)''
Well at least I know one guy happy today :D
Pray to god that retrieve bnet handle is a string. Finally can protect banks from getting swapped at least.
Here's some screens for y'all. Handle is a string. Also, duplicating units now correctly shows attack missile actor etc... used to leave them out.
