Im wondering how you guys view sc2mapster. Do you usually start by viewing the front page, then check forums, or do you skip the front page and come right to the forums?

I have bookmarked my own project page so I start by watching do I have new comments. Then I go to forums and usually check triggers first, then terrain, general, offtopic. Most of the time I ignore other forum categories but sometimes i check data and map feedback too. I rarely go to tutorials section because usually I found answer by searching.

View front page, see news, browse posts, see if I can give input, if not leave.
I always start at the front page, check the news. Then go to the map category then the assets, then the forum(usually artist tavern/assets tutorial, data)
Just like on sc2 pop list, i rarely (if ever) go on the front page
i tried mapster's for several months when i arrived.. and since i was not interested, now i only try it once a month (if at all).. suffice to say that i'm mostly disappointed... (ohh by the way, i like it 100 times better than blizz or tl's by the way.. but those are .. sooooo awful ; )
i only stroll on the awesome forums.. not that a front page is not a good thing.. just that those aren't my cup of tea... as to which forums: all, i always marvel at mapster's multiplicity.. every time it gets me how many people breath their passion in here :)
Why no love for the front page:
first, i think i hate competition.. that is when it comes to using a front page's power...
i'm sad to say that usually they are just add placements, while they should be THE place to be..
Front pages should breath controversy.. be about real issues or discussions, breed trends and divide members.. make them stand up and fight.. (for or against something) .. in short, they should not be a product placement for member's videos...
Don't mind me, i love mapster.. i just hate poorly used features and i'm sure tl's circulation could be diverted here ;)
Not that mapster needs it to be (to exist), but the maps do.. the passion of the mapmakers (their strength) does...
You guys keep talking about the coding of this site like its the only way...
Change is a matter of content.. rarely of packaging! (and when it is packaging that makes things move, then it isn't packaging anymore..).
Thank you Molster for asking a much needed question...
My bookmark goes straight to the forums. From there it's Backstage > General Chat > Off-topic > Terrain. Occasionally I check the other boards if something cool is going up - usually I just go for the Map Feedback and Project Workplace, though.
I barely ever really check the frontpage, only when I need to update the WTE or a Sc2mapster stream there. I do check some project pages from time to time, though.
frontpage -> PMs (if there are any) -> Mod forum -> Team Forums -> Frontpage -> f5 every 30 minutes
If I feel like posting, I go through forums, but usually I just read all the active topics and post in those.
Forums -> Tutorials -> YouTube (Colin's Giraffe Usually) -> Some Random Thing -> Some Random Thing -> Some Random Thing
Usually "Some Random Thing" continues for a while, and eventually becomes the front page. I rarely don't check the news. (This was similar before I became a mod, but it wasn't always Tutorials first at that point)

So I don't check front page often.
Usally do the forums check data and miscellaneous before checking general chat and occasionally doing the project workplace and art threads.

front page, look at PMs, hit forum button, scroll through general and artist tavern mostly.

Looking at poll and players habits (replies).
Would explain why it's very hard to get people to reply to project threads unless you've been put in news.
Something to consider for the future atleast.
frontpage -> PMs (if there are any) -> Mod forum -> Team Forums -> Frontpage -> f5 every 30 minutes

Wow, I feel so out of place. Here is my order.
Forums -> Tutorials -> YouTube (Colin's Giraffe Usually) -> Some Random Thing -> Some Random Thing -> Some Random Thing

Great to be back and part of the community again!
The bookmark I start browsing mapster with is <my latest posts that have a reply>, because I always forget to check those.
I do check the front page... eventually :P
Frontpage -> new active threads if anything interesting.
Sometimes going trough forums. General chat, off topic, map feedback, project workplace.
Front page -> Data -> Triggers -> SC2Mapster IRC :)
Unless I'm working on something and am stuck. Then I skip front page & pull up IRC + Forum search pages.
sc2mapster is my oyster
You spend 5 minutes attempting to break the frontpage, then consume the posts in all forums in one fell swoop and feel incredibly sick afterwards?
I watch the last 5, and then check general, and sometimes Off Topic.
I don't check the other subforums often because they don't have too many new stuff.
