When dogmai is on he almost never responds to PMs. Although if you have his skype you can probably get a hold of him. I think he's around the irc sometimes also.
@tordecybombo: Go
I hope you're not referring to BattlePlanets which isn't popular at all in NA. If it is in EU we might have to create a thread for NA votes and one for EU votes.
(still need someone to help make a youtube video for it :P)

(requires 2 players to play, works best and is most fun with full house :D)
Party on Outhouse Protectors is a custom 3v3 Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) Starcraft 2 Map (published in US) with a twist. In addition to controlling a hero filled with skills and enhancements, each player controls a builder that allows them to instantly construct buildings that will add units to their spawn waves. This gives Party on Outhouse Protectors a Tug of War aspect to the map, adding another dimension of strategy and fun to the standard MOBA formula. Players will be able to spawn a variety of ground and air units from Void Rays to Ultralisks while trying to counter their opposing team's units.
What makes Party on Outhouse Protectors different?
Party on Outhouse Protectors was built for casual gamers that want to enjoy the fun that MOBAs have to offer without the frustration and complexity that comes with many of them. The custom map simplifies some aspects while not penalizing players so harshly for dying, making room for more fun and a fast-paced battle.
- Instead of items, players have the ability to purchase enhancements for their heroes without having to return to their base. These enhancements are simply a submenu on each hero, allowing them to build upgrade heroes while on the battlefield. In addition, enhancements avoid the complexity of formulas and the annoyance of managing inventory space. Each enhancement has three levels of upgrades and there are currently 10 different enhancements for each hero.
- Players aren't heavily penalized for dying or feeding. This allows new players to ease their way into Party on Outhouse Protectors while seasoned veterans of MOBA-style maps and games will still be awarded for their excellent play. Players do not lose minerals when dying, and killing heroes are awarded 150 minerals per kill. Death times are not scaled based on levels, players will simply have to sit out 30 seconds, waiting for their hero to resurrect.
- Party on Outhouse Protectors is designed to be fast-paced with games averaging 30 minutes to complete.
- Adding another level of strategy to the map, Party on Outhouse Protectors allows players to build Vespene Geysers on four different locations of the map, each one awarding 100 additional minerals to every player on the team per spawn wave. This helps force hero fights as controlling these Geysers give an advantage to each team.
So go search "Outhouse" on SC2 today and check it out! Help make it one of the popular maps on Battle.net.
Just out of curiosity, what makes you think that the map would jump to page one with absolutely no advertising and a mediocre at best map? This is no offense to Battle Planets, as it is fun, but it is a mini-game.
We need to think this through and figure out how we are going to advertise for it, and anything else we are going to do to ensure it's success.
Note that I would be saying that if any map, not just Battle Planets, was being suggested to be released right now. I simply don't have time to take charge of this project. Rodrigo, I am kind of hoping you will try and do something with this :)
It's being hard for me to add Battle Planets as the first map when there's so many people criticizing it. I'll add just to get things going for a while and start the US publisher pool
Wow after THREE polls and all the shitting on Battle Planets it STILL got 14-7 in the end.
I would vote for a no-argueing-rule regarding the map from now on, because it got chosen with overwhelming support and we now just have to settle on logistics.
Taco, as colors said, your arguments have been heard, but your actions slowly start to give the impression of bitter hating.
keysexz, It doesn't surprise me that he wouldn't respond to you.
EDIT: Rodrigo I'm counting on you not to give up.
The map should be changed each week regardless of whether it is popular or not. Do not be deceived, popularity is such that a different map each week will increase chances of popularity, not decrease it. For example, the map that we are choosing, battle planets, was rising for a while, the new intriguing name gives every map a chance though. I do think that the description should be thus: Play Me. Everything else is implied. Also, keep the logo the mapster logo, a changing minimap only hurts chances. I suppose you have this all figured out, but back to the above. Every week, different people try maps below the top. We need just need to give the map a good boost, and according to the stats of what works it should get rolling. Except if the map isn't worth the time. Some maps are, some maps are not. But every map here seems like it gives an excellent variety.
One more thing, I'll be a supporter for this, simply because I want to know when the damn thing is done ;).
Are you saying he wouldn't respond because it was me or just because he doesn't respond? Either way I was in touch with him a couple months ago during closed testing for TMA.

No it didnt... those 11 votes for rushing? are NO's if there were only two options, those who wanted this to wait, would have all voted in the no. [and before you say its multi-vote, most people dont even know you can do that]
Noone has said they hate the map, noone said the map is bad. I dont think any of you understand what tacos really trying to say.
I voted for sixen even though he gets on the sc2streamster late almost every sunday. He just seems to have his stuff together. Not that dogmai doesn't, he is also SEA so he would have long upload times.
Noone has said they hate the map, noone said the map is bad. I dont think any of you understand what tacos really trying to say.
This.
I would be saying the same thing about many map that was being suggested to be uploaded so soon. Yes, I have made it clear that I don't think that Battle Planets should be the first map. Nor do I think that about 99% of the maps out there should be. I am not against Battle Planets, which I have said about 50,000 times now, I am against rushing this thing. I have also stressed that I do not trust SC2Mapster polls, at all, no matter what. They are too easily manipulated, and the community doesn't represent the people that really should be giving input on the polls. If you get 5 of yours friends to vote (this is hypothetical BTW), that is not 6 opinions, that is the same opinion 6 times.
All I want is for this to succeed. I have also said that if Battle Planets is chosen, so be it, I will support it all the way, 100%. However, it cannot be published without advertising. That is what I am trying to say. No matter what map is chosen, it will fail without advertising. This thing needs to be put on the front page, placed in signatures, posted on BNET, on SEN, spoken of in game, (playing other various custom games), and so on. This needs to be scheduled, so that as many people do this at the same times as possible.
To be perfectly honest, if we do that part correctly, I don't think that it will matter which map is chosen, because it will shoot to the top because of the advertising. And the concept of changing the map every week, and having a project run by an entire community, is appealing.
So please, please, please stop this useless feud that I have unintentionally started. Just stop trying to find the negative in it, I beg of you. All I want is for this to succeed.
PS I voted for Sixen, because I can guarantee he won't be abandoning this project any time soon.

ya hear that mods? we need to add some more maps!!! i recommend we get started on that some time soon!!!
dam, if i was a mod i woulda launched battle planets, published the maps myself, and gotten this thing into gear by now...
EDIT: that's not fair... as we still only have one EU publisher and i couldn't fix that by willing it away...

You can add me to the list of EU publishers, seeing as there is only 1 at the moment.

Battle Planets is nice map.
You can put my maps up in the list, expect Stay Alive! (because its very old...)
Also what should I do? how to promote? (yeah I am lazy to read:D)

with that said, I voted for sixen =P
naturally sixen since he has "good" reputation and is rather active.
on the other hand if dogmai has both EU and NA accounts, but he has a weird vibe about him...he will steal your maps and fuse them in tofu :D
Im pretty sure Sixen has an EU account as well. Id vote for him hands down.
I voted for sixen even though he gets on the sc2streamster late almost every sunday. He just seems to have his stuff together. Not that dogmai doesn't, he is also SEA so he would have long upload times.
he told me he doesn't, but i'm voting for him for US
btw i'm the ONLY person who voted for me... lol what did i really expect?
although i'm online every day... and give so much attention to this thread and the issues that arrive
and i've made two maps so i have sufficient experience with the editor
and i'm a good persuasive writer (who has a serious problem with run-on sentences)
but i wouldn't vote for myself if it wasn't just for a joke, so i understand
play the maps when the project launches, and send your maps to a publisher IF AND ONLY IF they get voted in
Sixen, just cause he's known on b-net forums and his name is friendly and easy to read.
This.
