Please stop telling me they exist on my PC somewhere, because they sure as hell don't. The only S2ma files that ever show up after downloading a map on battle.net are almost completely empty folders with a hardtile.bin file that does nothing. Changing the extension of these folders to sc2map does nothing, the Editor still does not recognize anything within the cache folder as a SC2map file. Deleting them does nothing and I can still play the maps I download off battle.net (even published stuff) with no problems after they're gone, but for some stupid reason they are nowhere to be found on my PC anywhere. << I will repeat, there are NO OTHER FILES with the extension S2ma found on my PC >>
I'm not sure if its a problem with Windows Vista 64-bit, or something Blizzard goofed up. For some people the files do show up and they can simply just change the extension from s2ma to sc2map and it works fine, but it does not work for everyone. There are those of us who don't get any files at all after downloading from battle.net (not visibly at least) yet are still able to play the maps just fine, opening them in the Editor is next to impossible on the other hand and I really would like to see how they made their Melee maps, terrain editing and doodad placements. That is all I really want and I'm getting tired of all these backdoor solutions that end up with the same problem and not working....
So, can someone put the official Blizzard Melee maps up for download? Please?
Hehe, they do in fact exist, I just downloaded and grabbed all 21 maps last night. You need to click "see more results" and then research for it on your "Computer".
Anyway, I'll put them up for download in the very near future, they're currently in s2ma format, they need to be properly converted to sc2map.
Never mind, someone helped me find another way to get them. Thx Mystiq!!
For those of you who are like me, and cannot find the files anywhere on your PC, go the SC2 Editor: File -> Open. On the top bar they added new tab options Local Files and Battle.net, if you click Battle.net it will prompt you to login and from there you can access any maps that are available on Battle.net from Melee to maps that have been Published. I'm so happy now I can refine my own melee maps better.

Yar, but once the Beta goes down next week, you won't have them anymore. I'll still be uploading them.
