Someone published my map so I can't publish under this name anymore
Thus i removed all the files.
Why the fuck would someone just publish my map?
His online name is Frogguts. I can't seem to add him online or talk to him. So if someone sees him please ask him to take it off.
Just a warning to other authors, take your map off!
In the publish screen mark it as locked and publish it, then go on bnet, download it, and use the cache file of your map that you download to upload on sc2mapster

Does it actually create a .sc2map Cache file though? Or just in the \TMP\ folder?
Yea same thing happened to me. I dont mind, he made my made the most popular custom on bnet!
But in all seriously, it sucks that I'm not able to update the map now. I'm sure the beta shut down on the 31st will help solve this.

Same thing happened to me, I'm trying to publish my map online but I'm getting an error that someones already published my map. I even have an update for it!
perhaps noob question, but where do i go to view all the published maps? I cant find them. I'm hoping I can track it down and ask whoever published my map to take it down so I can release the updates on it.

This would happen if you didn't set your map to be "locked" regardless, unfortunately.
@sixen:
Yeah I wanted the map to be locked, I did spend a lot of time in it.
In the end, I just published it under Art of Defense instead.
Sorry that happened, PhyzX, :(.
@PhyzX21:
Yeah dude you'll have to lock them before uploading them here :( they probably just wanted to play it online, and thus published it to do so
How do u lock them in GE?

Is it true your map won't be public if you set it to locked though?
Got it from this topic: http://forums.battle.net/thread.html?topicId=25026393152&sid=5000
@vadremix:

As of writing, you can only look up map listings by Most Popular.
Bnet just wiped out the custom map data base. Re-upload your map now and claim ownership of it. I took back the name Destroy All Monsters.
You sure it's wiped? I still see the old customs there.
Each time the server restart the "Popular maps" listing is being resetted, but the maps are still there.
Well all I know is I was able to reclaim my map and the name: Destroy all Monsters.
I now have update rights to it and it states the author is me.
See for yourself, it's back at the top of the most popular custom map list!
People don't understand how publishing works yet, they probably had no idea they were locking the original author out by publishing the map.
