So me and another guy were talking in pms, and while talking about moba's, we (jokingly) mentioned how awesome it'd be to make a mapster heroes of the storm and face it off against the real thing, with each mapster contributing a hero, and some random people the triggers and terrain.
So fellow mapsters, as a joke taken seriously, will you make some random heroes (HoTStorm style, so non leveling abilities) for a thing that is decievingly similar to a community project (but totally not a community project or it would never get finished)
The idea isn't bad, but with HotS being increasingly popular, there is little chance of getting a proper player base, which is required for mobas due to the large lobby sizes.
For maps that have a group of authors, chance of success is lower than for maps with only one author. Especially for "community" ones. And for single author maps the chance isn't big already. Under "success" I mean being finished and released.

Upload a map with a hero in it. I'd make the triggers and what not, (might ask moz or another terrainer to make some terrain for it) and i'll copy your hero in.
So data based heroes please, i could deal with some triggers, but as much as possible data, it's simpler to copy over for the most part (xml).
Really cool idea! If you give a little more detail as to the number of abilities and types and what the standard attack should look like and whatnot, I'd love to submit something.
What Joey said passive, 3 regular abils, and an ult. Standard attack should just be a weapon that fits the hero. Numbers for damage are pretty easy to balance.
Also include any custom model you want your hero to be in your map.

too many mobas + no ppl + editor overhaul with LotV will screw all data as always (as with HotS) = fail

I actually though this sounded like a really cool idea.
so, what's gonna happen, OP? we link maps with a hero on it, then you copy that hero with all the other members onto 1 map and make a moba out of it?
I think It would work if you can handle the balancing and game mechanics

ok I am assuming u want a passive, 3 reg abilities and and ult ability

You could use the Tofu engine.

if he can make a moba template that just needs heroes, I think its possible to do. he will just have to balance it properly.
