Can anyone help me. I need to have this for my FFA Big Game Hunters and Winter Conquest maps! Credits will be given once maps are published.
How the trigger should be:
1) Once a player is defeated, that player is shown the menu dialog and can choose to go to score screen or observe.
2) In-game alliance changes should be in effect. For example; if a player allies with another or more, then if the allied teams are all defeated then they go to the dialog menu and can choose to go to score screen or observe the match. It is similar to a team game meaning that If all units of one allied team are lost then they're not defeated until all of the allied teams have lost their units.
3) Observe - can see every active player's point of view.
4) To determine the winner, the player or team last man standing should be victiorious and then game ends like in a regular melee map.
To Summarize:Just need standard victory and defeat conditions for ffa with team alliance unlocked except a defeated player has the option to either choose to stay in game and observe or go to score screen.
You can use the End Game For Player action end the game in either victory or defeat, with that the player also has the option to return to the game. If you want to change that text, open up the text editor(F8) and filter on "UI" and "GameResultDialog". Any changes you'll make to these text entries will be represent in the game.
With the Set Alliance Aspect, Set Alliance or Set Alliance(One Way) actions you set different kind of settings between players, like shared vision and defeat.
I'm not too experienced with triggers. Can you help me with this? This is such an important trigger i'm not sure why blizzard didn't add this as an option to custom ffa maps.
Lol. I am not experienced with these triggers and I'm asking anyone if they can do this for my map or anyone's map who wants this kind of feature. We could add an option to the lobby to lock or unlock ffa observe. And I'm surprised there hasn't been any attempt to make triggers for this. Its such a huge problem and it ruins the ffa experience with friends.
The best way to learn is to do it yourself. We will do the best we can to help you figure something out if you get stuck, but I would never expect or want anyone to build my map for me. Start by doing something simple, like adding allied vision for players when they no longer own buildings, then work your way up to dialogs and the like.
