How do I change the custom value? I have no idea what the hell this "custom value" is, let alone how to edit it.
In my map, I can shoot Hydralisks, however I can't shoot zerglings - I'm assuming I need to change the zergling's
height value? Can you tell me how to do this?
Please don't tell me to go back to page one. I've read all eight pages
of this thread over and over, and I cannot find anything in my Library, my Triggers, in the Data editor, or anything
That has to do with unit height.
Once again, please don't flame me. I just want to get this working and have some fun with my custom maps.
I have a question though: I changed the unit to a Thor, but I am having trouble with the shooting animations as just firing the regular attack animation doesn't seem to work well. The bullet comes out of the left arm each time and the animation of the arms moving back a bit after the shot is delayed as well. I'm not very good with actors it seems, does anyone have a hint how to fix this, preferably have the Thor shoot two bullets per click as he normally would, one left, one right?
Note: A lot of people experience loss of trigger and variable names (seems to output: Syntax error at line 21) when implementing the engine or opening the map. I have no solution for it, and I don't even know what's causing it - it might be the localization that messes things up. Final words
I had to make the traceline and shoot triggers for each player ingame. Now how about making it not automatically hit the closest unit if nothing was hit? Can't find a solution from tweaking variables so would it have to be from a different trigger?
Hello im kinda new to editing, at least in Scarcraft 2. But i cant seem to download your library file. I also figure out how to export it from your maps.
I've tried messing around with your TPS Engine some, which by the way is really awesome! But, I wanted to know if it's possible to actually have something like this work:
Basically, I've had a map in mind where one player is the "Hero" and plays in TPS mode. The other player would play like it is a normal melee map(Build base/units then sent units to backup the hero) and would be his ally, so I don't really need to apply any custom variables to his units.
Would this be at all possible if I make it so the triggers only affect player 1?
EDIT: I also wanted to mention that if I tried loading any of the maps that were created I got the same error as everyone else. But, If I took the library and added to my map it worked great and has all trigger/variable names. I had to make sure my dependencies were set up correctly though for it to work. Make sure you have them setup in this order and hopefully this works for some of you as well:
Does anyone know how to make a trigger, so if you shoot in a region, the region will stop your bullets... or how I may do this. I got a few rocks / walls that you can shoot thru them.
This is an amazing engine, but I can't figure out the Multi one, all the triggers are blank. Could you post a guide?
EDIT: For some reason, when I shoot anything (zerglings ect) It does nothing. In the Library it say it's setting to Custom Value to 0.5 for zerglings, but they don't take damage.
I have also the problem with the nameless triggers when i download the map but when i download and import the library it works fine. The next issue is that your uploaded library is the singleplayer version. Would it be possible that you upload the library of the multiplayer version?
none of the units are getting damaged when i shoot them whats wrong? I dont know what the custom value is. and it looks like the registering trigger isnt woking. but it worked in my previous map
I seem to be having problems importing the library, whenever i open up the file for the library it sends me to a web page that lists all the workings of the Tps. Heres the link to that page : http://static.sc2mapster.com/content/attachments/5/252/TPS_Engine_Library.SC2Lib
Is this what i am supposed to see and if it is, how do i incorperate it to my map. If not can someone send my the real file.
Thanks in advance. Great engine by the way. Cheers
I was wondering if someone could tell me how to change the character without getting an error? I just downloaded the OP's single player TPS and I'm messing around with it trying to figure out how to change the main character. I'm a little lost at the moment. BTW, I love the TPS engine. It's awesome!

@UsedWell:
You can't use that because there is no "self". The triggers automatically make the main unit fire projectiles at the target.

So then do you know what I could use so it would fire at enemy units of triggering player or something of the sort?
Great library, thanks for putting that work in.

What do you mean the localization?

@aramada998:
Yeah, you could make that sort of map (I've thought about it as well but I won't make one), but the lag will still be there I suppose.
@martinolsson: Go
That's fine, hopefully since only 1 person will be in TPS it won't be too bad. Thanks for the response!
Hi! I've got a problem. I don't know how to make a multiplayer game using your TPS system. Could you help me please?
mastery
What do you mean?
@Pyrkowicz:
Well, I did add a multiplayer version for you to edit/look at freely.
