How exactly do you make the editor show the spawn point/initial units that will be there when the game starts. For example, I have my Spawn location 1 set to Terran. I want to attach my Command Center and SCV's to triggers, but they will not show up in the editor. They only show up once I enter the game, and by that point it doesn't matter. Can anyone please help.
To go even further with this question, what If I wanted to attach a trigger to a unit that hasn't even been created yet. For example, what if I want a trigger to activate when my commander center makes an SCV on 10/11 supply.
how about .... if your using the trigger editor to modify game play..... then you should not be using any of the mellee rule definitions, or player spawn points, or the start point creation stuff that creates the players bases at the start points......
Open terrain module...
go to units tab
search for command center
place command center on map
open trigger editor
create unit variable
create trigger
create event time elapsed .2 seconds
set the unit variable = to (value- Unit that you placed in the terrain editor)
I know this prolly might not help you much but its kinda what you were talking about
you appear to be rather new

You cannot make direct unit designations on units that don't already exist. The only things you can really do for new units is to search for them using unit group functions or use event functions like "triggering unit." In other words, new units will always be variable.
