We've seen many of these before, but it's never been the clear and cut subject of a WTE, even though I thought it could be fun. This week's theme will be "Terran Outpost", and the idea just to create just that! Before you scream 'boring!', keep in mind there's a lot of tilesets this could be interesting to make on. A Terran outpost in the Zhakul'Das swamps would have to be water-resistant, while one on Mar Sara would have a clear look of sandy erosion going on.
Actually, the idea was to have something like rishi station (Star Wars: The Clone Wars: III), which would be to alert their allies if an enemy fleet was approaching them
Awesome terrain, thought the surroundings could use some work. Overall a solid and interesting outpost. I really like your typhography approach of the decals on the landing path, original stuff there.
Also, did this really look better than having the landing path fully concrete-textured?

I´m always looking around, just not posting much.
I agree the area surrounding is very sparse. I just don´t want to waist time on it, since it only for veiwing purpose.
I just love the sand/dust coverd plating in Marsara, it´s the one thing i remember from the melee map.
I'm sneaking in a last-minute submission. Had some spare time, so decided to throw up that swamp-like outpost I was talking about. Ended up being in a rush, so didn't completely finish everything up. Will comment on earlier posts when I have more time.
My terrain is based on the image I had left in my head about a map made by Debe for his Zerg campaign, but I took some original twists.
Not sure it can be considered an "outpost" so to speak, but here's a starting point from the survival map I'm working on these days. The map is still a WiP so the road on the left is not textured or anything, but I hope you don't mind.
I'd recommend that you work on the transition between the concrete of the base and the grass, the water, and add a skybox.
The texture transition? Really? Heh, that's the one thing I was relatively happy with. At least, I actually spent some proper time on that. Most of the unfinished stoff is in the middle of the camp, around the helipad and on the other cliff (where there's lots of room for improvement). You're right though, it's far from perfect.

Impressive what you've done given a very small space. Would look comfortable alongside a highly detailed campaign map or something. Nice work
