Usual WTE, everything normal! This week's theme is "Hold the Line". What is meant by this is any kind of theme that centers around a specific defense; a group of soldiers in defensive position to hold a certain area. Think the third Mar Sara campaign level, or the very last level on Char. Siege tanks, bunkers, barricades, the whole deal.
Ooh, me likey. It's a bit empty - especially around the sides, but also around the camp area itself. Maybe add some more crates and barrels and a decal or two to make it seem like less of a random entrenchment and more of a base? Maybe some resource crates or something similar near the CC. I like your creative use of the wall :)
I feel like this one is hard because it's so action oriented.... would be best suited if a battle was set up and a screen cap was made in-game I think so you can see some blood and muzzle flashes. Just my two cents.
I might, but I reply that every time someone asks. I'm so busy with projects and other stuff I barely have any time. I'll see if I can squeeze something in somewhere at some point, though.
Wow, nice use of perspective Nebuli! That is basically the image I had in my head while coming up with the subject. Like it!
On another note, I also really like Librarian's terrain: pretty cool job there, just a really good feeling overal. I didn't have time to comment on it earlier. I like the Ghost play - think it could've worked out better than it it, but definitely interesting experimentation.
Lol, there was supposed to be a Nydus worm ambush from the side. I had no idea Nydus worms generated creep. (Shows I don't play much ladder) That just spoiled the shot didn't it D:
Weekly Terraining Exercise #70
Afternoon!

Good luck, and show me how you guys hole up!

Sweet.
Here's a small fort built into a canyon.
Not too happy with the units, but meh.

What's that barbed wire doodad?
I think it's fence doodads, that is just lowered so only the top is visible

Well, here's my contribution, urban environment, the last stand of the glorious few.
Please forgive my simplistic attempt and the really bad camera angle and terrain, did this one in quite a jiffy.
Why is there creep?
@JakeCake26: Go
You guessed it. It's the security fence dropped into the ground.
I'm looking foward to Brood's and Sheo's entries. Moza, you going to give it a shot too this week?
I might, but I reply that every time someone asks. I'm so busy with projects and other stuff I barely have any time. I'll see if I can squeeze something in somewhere at some point, though.
Here's a quickish one. I was pressed on time, though I might well work on it some more.
(I also have no idea how two marines would be able to hold out against those other units lol)
Alright. It's a bit more fair now.
And finally an awkward view from inside a bunker lol.

I wonder if I can fit a marine in the bunker...

It kind of did for me =P. I think without the creep it'd be way easier for us to comment and give some better tips.
@Mozared: Go
Very well, I'll try again on a future WTE :P

You know you can edit the terrain and post more screenshots to actually get feedback? :P
