Are there any nature bridges such as wooden bridges, log bridges, dirt or grassy bridges?
The only bridge I've found that works is the Mar Sara Urban type bridge?
Is there a way to use the data editor to edit this urban bridge to make it look more nature existing if there is no current natural bridges?
There are additional bridges under Terrain Objects, but no wooden bridges, log bridges or natural 'chasm crossings'. I'd love for these myself, but we'll need to find a modeler to get them done.
hey are you looking for like a foot bridge or a wooden car bridge? if you want go on Google do a search and try and find a bridge you like
I will try and throw one together for you.
Rope bridge is the bridge I think is the coolest, number 2 and 3 are nice too
Komodo1138, if you or any of the other skilled artists/modelers on these forums can spare some time to create these bridges, that would be great!
I'm sure not only me but many other mapmakers would be very grateful to be able to use such bridges in our maps because Blizzard just decided to skimp out on some doodads lol (heck i think warcraft3 had more bridges, log bridges, natural bridges too)
Probably not exactly what you had in mind, but in the Protoss Mini Campaign, Ulaan Destructible Bridges are used, not totally sure if you ever walk on them, but should be able to use the model with some data editing. It's probably not perfect, but at least it's a natural bridge...
The ulduan bridge somewhat works, but its kinda hard to get the edges to match up with the 2 sides I want to connect, and also what is the best pathing for this?
Also,
I found a long rope bridge in WoW, and used the WoW extract method to get the m3 into SC2
however, how the heck do i set the pathing for it? because its curved, not flat...
would it be possible to use the natural looking arches as supports for the bridge, maybe change the height filed to suit then use doodads on the ground level to fill the gaps left?
to clarify incase im a bit vague.. use 2 of the 1/2 arches as the entry / exit points then use doodad rocks etc.. with adjusted height fields to fill the gaps between the arches, result should hopefully be a natural rock bridge.
I know this can be done judging from other terrain objects, but I haven't a CLUE how. Did you try the data editor? If you find out, post it here, I'm curious.

Try using the Ulaan Destructible Bridge model? Looks decent if you use a custom color with a HDR multiplier around 2.
Whoa that rope bridge is awesome! and that would really fit in my map with high cliffs and waterfalls
