Tha planks are the same thing that you can see on picture 1 and 2 and 3. Not only 3. I tried to do some houses in the trees and link them with bridges or whatever. My forest was too filled, haha. So, the houses I made a very simple and not link together. So these are like, just, something in the trees. I might do better next time, haha. 1 WTE I do something really awsome, and the next one is kinda "Boring" and the next one after is awsome... etc.
That is THE BEST WTE EVER hahahaha. Seriously, you made me laught. Gj. One thing, the star (or sphere) doesn't looks on the tree but more, "floating over" haha.
Um, Luckily, this dragon is not animated haha. Otherwise it would be scary! Very nice use of the Char doodads and some more. The bottom of the tree is nice too. I'm sure it is not as good to see from all the angles. haha. But awsome (is there any more word for that?)
Hey Zolstice—yeah, it's definitely overkill, I completely agree haha. And yup I'll upload it in a bit, just be weary as to Scbrood's post: the back of the dragon is unfinished as well as the entirety of the map, but everything is made of regular doodads. The dragon is also not at a particularly good gameplay angle, so it'll be more of a demo than anything playable. (Additionally, some of the doodads are modified via the data editor for an increase in size.)
I wish it could be animated =P. The bottom of the tree (and halfway up) is actually made of modified Meinhoff Craters and Broken Ground Edgings so it gives it an interesting look, sadly the transition at the top of the tree looks worse than I would like. And yep, you're right about the angle; you can swing left or right about him, but the back looks pretty sketch and would take some time to fix.
Hey guys, I have my try-hard submission for this week.
I started off by making a gigantic tree in the middle and had the original intention of creating a massive forest with houses incorporated onto the branches, but I decided to go a different direction. Not sure where the idea sprouted from but I had a vision of a dragon curled around the "tree of life" guarding its eggs (currently under her left claw), so that's what I attempted to make. The story is supposed to be that the dragon eggs were stolen, so she swooped down and burninated all the peoples.
I think the terrain surrounding the focal could definitely be improved, but after finishing the dragon I got tired of working on it to be honest >.< .
Purdy Sheo, nice work! Just a note; I think the lighting is a bit off. With the sun just starting to rise I'd say it would have to be a lot darker with only rays of light seeping through, no?
Can we get a screenshot of that with the game camera?
Thanks for all the positive feedback guys! Haha, will try if i have the time to do what Moz and Nebuli said; with the lighting, camera and sun. I'm not a hundred per cent sure that the acual game camera will work though but a slightly modified one might will.
Also perhaps add some fish and maybe some grass and small plants of the hill-thing leading up to the tree? Maybe have the sun a bit higher in the sky? I suppose it's really up to you, though.
I actually added some fish here and there at random but i suppose they're not visible. I was thinking about making the hill detailed with temple ruins, rocks and more roots but i never got around to do it. Anyway i think i'm done fiddling for the week, i'll let my creative juices regenerate 'till tomorrow.
Nice work SirDeeDs, and welcome to the WTE's. Loving the contrast between the graveyard on the outside and the life and sunshine on the island. Only thing I will say buddy, is that when taking the screenshots, set your settings to High or better. Will make them stand out and be a lot more pretty in the future. All in all though, I salute you.
Nebuli, looks a bit unnatural if you get what I'm saying? Liking the concept of it, maybe just sink more hours into it I dunno. Nice idea buddy.

This looks like it might've taken you a while :P
Since it was my suggestion i guess i'll have another go.
(Most Tree of Life-y Tree of Life so far perhaps... ?)

Make the Sun white?
Looks absolutely epic Sheo... seriously top notch work!

Also make the water a bit more dark turquoisey and less transparent.

Quite small and specific requests, anyway here you go:

That's pretty sexy, definitely the most Tree of Life-y Tree of Life yet =P.
Here's a quick one.
I went kinda literal with my version of the tree.
