This week's theme for the Weekly Terraining Exercise is going to be a "Shooter Terrain". Tying into last week's Terraining Thursday and as per suggestion by DarlD, the idea of this theme is that you make a terrain that suits a first or third person playstyle. If you zoom into the terrain to look at it over the shoulder of, say, a marine, it should still look awesome.
those look strangely familiar but I like it Nebuli ;) The haziness gives a sort of ominous feel to the whole thing, and I like the clever use of the landing lights.
Overall I have liked what I have seen so far great job so far everyone, certainly a large amount of variety has been shown thus far.
First person man-made Starcraft 2 terrains always automatically look like Mass Effect =P. Nice job though, would like to see you finish up that second one. Really original tables there too!
It still shows for me. Check my first post on this page, or the quote in my last post.
And now onto your terrain:
Nice, though I'd do more with the textures around objects on the ground. Also, try adding omni lights around fires (and lava). Finally, I think you should lower the diffuse and ambient light, and slightly lower the bloom threshold.
Weekly Terraining Exercise #80
Hear hear, we're on number 80!

Let's see what all of you have cooking this week!

Did a little something
Not sure if this fits with the theme exactly but here is my attempt.
This is a sneak peak of my attempt.
Ooh I've gotta do this one.
@Thunderzak:
Very nice. Though I would say add some slight elevation changes on the ground, and maybe add a few ground props, regardless - pretty awesome.
It's supposed to be an underground bunker that's been closed for a long time and is about to open.
@DarlD:
When taking screenshots, try upping quality of the game :)
@Alaron251:
Very impressed with that, nice detail and concept. Kudos
Heres mine, was going with the "Alan Wake" type feel with this one.
Here's a facility.

Nebuli's terrain feels like Portal meets Mass Effect. That may be the familiarity?
Just something i'm working on...
