The 'queue' is a rather precarious thing Nardival. The thing is, if everybody just 'queues' up, odds are that one person in the queue is going to be gone when it's his turn. At that point everybody past him will sit and wait for him to do his thing even though he's not there. Because of this, try and do it like this - you cannot "queue up" through normal means - you will have to wait for someone to post his rendition of the map, and then get the post in before someone else does.
So no more:
A - I wanna work on it
B - Me too, I'll take it when A gets back
C - Me too, I'll take it after B
A - I'm done
(2 hours later)
C - B, are you still doing it?
And instead:
A - I wanna work on it
B - Me too!
A - I'm finished!
C - I'll take it now
B - I got skipped QQ I'll have to be quicker next time!
Obviously since this started off as an experiment, the 'rules' aren't watertight, but I'll try and edit them into the OP.
Anyway. Took me a while to delete all the doubled doodads and units from the copying. But its done.
I changed a bit the middle right area of the map. Added some zerg to populate the area, a small terran defensive perimeter to protect a caged Hibrid, a laser drill to help our trapped miners to salvation and put some wrecked buildings and mist in the, well its not a hole but I can't remember the name.
Nah, it works fine. You just need to let it load a little bit longer.
Anyway - we've nearly got it finished. What I reckon needs to be done to make it playable:
The facility in the upper right corner should be made playable.
The two bridges need to be made walkable.
Something needs to be done with the Protoss ruins... They just don't work.
Two more parts of canyon need to be filled with textures and rocks.
I don't mind finalizing it once some of this stuff is done, but I would like a couple more additions, if people are still up - then I can pass it on to the other boards who can turn it into a playable map. If nobody's interested anymore it'll probably go to waste which is ok too, but just a shame.
Also Evilcrizpy - you're out of the queue for now, as you haven't done an update in nine hours.
I'll help with the trigger/data parts of the map once it's ready ;) And if no one else will take it, i'll try and do something myself out of it. Won't let it go to waste ;)
Hope youre not waiting for me to upload the map... im not terraining :) was just saying i'll take the map once it's finished and do some trigger/data work for whatever the map should become at the end :)
I will try to finish the map but got a few questions to mozarad, what do you mean with playable? and that facility is that the one next to the protoss temple and with those searchlights?

EDIT 2: ok finished working but its not done yet. Added most stuff in the lower left corner. A "protoss circle", a large waterfall and a farm. Also a strange field with eggs and spires - you have to see it yourself - , and some more doodads and thingies. oh and improved the protoss temple and a scientist infestigation nearby.

With 'playable', I mean just what it says - that the map is playable. As in, if you were to take a unit into it, would all areas that look like they're acccessible actually be accessible, and would you not be able to walk through specific doodads. Currently, for example, the bridges in the map aren't crossable, which means that you can't access half the map.
What I meant with 'the facility' is just the area in the upper right corner of the map - some areas (like the one with the units in it) just look plain weird right now, in some regards.
All in all we're pretty much getting to a close I reckon. Playability really is the main problem now, that and that facility. Perhaps some of the bloat can be removed, but I reckon I'll take care of that when the final version pops up. I might take it again tomorrow or such to finish stuff up.
what is sad is that nobody ever looks at this forum because its not at the top of the frontpage anymore. I would really like to edit it again but i think its nicer if somebody else does it this time.
EDIT: im editing it now so it becomes playable becouse nobody else is doing it :) already fixed many things with pathing and better terraining :)
