I'm working on a map where I like to be able to select a barracks, factory, and starport with the mouse drag so that I can easily set their rally point all at once. Unfortunately when I try to do this, only one of the building types will be selected (ex. barracks). I don't want to have to shift-click every time I want to multi select different buildings. How do I fix this? Thanks!
I think you have to go to the units tab and search for "Unit: Select Alias". That option seems to be the ruler of this kind of matter. I'm not 100% sure but give it a try and put the same alias for the buildings you want.
Tried that, but it only works for double clicking and not drag select. I'd also want to keep the original double click intact so that I'd have some way of getting all barracks vs. factories.
I think to do that you would have to do you're own comeing in triigers or for the unit data in the xml view or if d where the drag box is in the editor and then star asking questions that are closer to that
Found a solution for those running into the same solution. It's not perfect, but you have to change the Unit: Subgroup Alias to the same thing (ex. all structures are under subgroup Barracks). The draw back is that you can't cycle through different building types because they're all under the same subgroup. Also make sure the Unit: Subgroup Priority's are all the same.
Cheers!
