Hi everybody :D, i don't know if anyone knows the old WC3-FunMap "MetalMaulWars" but this "series" was one of the best Tower-War maps ever!!
And now I want to bring this Map back to Life with StarCraft II.
This map is a 3v3, 2v2 or 1v1 Map, but i think we shall go with the time and make it aswell 6v6 and mabye 8v8 rdy :D
Thats gonna be a Big War of Metal! I swear! ^^
So, i cannot do anything just of posting my Idea XD
There are 2 Options how we can rewake this map.
1. The better one
-We make it "Open-Source" and Together as one Community, Everybody helps everybody and sc2mapster creates this Map ^^
-Newbies can learn how to create a Map from the "Start" till the "End"
- This Map can be used as an Template for other MaulWars Maps or Maps like WinterMaul for e.g. :D
2. A Team
-We creating a Team of a few People, a Mapper (Terrain), a 3D-Artist (for Custom Models, Spells and something), a Dev (Scripts everything), a Promoter (Posting News here), an Balancer (The one who must Balance this game):D and an Tester.
But i think Option 1 is great, so I can learn too how to "Map" :D
The Old Map Layout is like this, [][][] is where the 3 Buildings are standing for Sending Creeps,

Ive tried to edit a map, but its too hard, too much to learn it that fast :X maybe sometime i can map too ^^ maybe :D
I don'T know what it is like to make a map like this, but i think if the sc2mapster.com community works on this map, it will be much easier as you doing it alone, u know what i mean? :D
So can everybody learn it, step by step :D
this could be a possibly 7v7 map, 6 players each team are at the front, and 1 at the end (Top/Bottom)
I just wanted to say if anyone here makes a tree like map like the one above i will be very disapoint in you. As you all should know from prior experiance anyone in the middle gets screwed out of cash from because they don't get spawns.
If your gonna make a map make sure to make it balanced and fun for every person not dependent on where they are. If any of you have played eras zombie invasion from WC3 youll know what i mean, if your not red, blue, or orange in that game as good as dead.
this "Tree" System is pretty good, 2 "main" Builders and 1 "main" sender.
The 2 Builders must build from the beginning and balance it with sending creeps.
The last one, is the sender, he dont need to build normaly or just 1 tower for the first leak, but then he must send Creeps to the Enemy's, the often you send creeps, the more income you'll gain. so its very balanced, unlike normal Wintermaul Tower-Defence maps.

8v8 is impossible, limit of 7 ppl per team... 2 finish lines per team seems more interesting to me, though :)
Also, this will be absolutely horrible to make, because duplicating units and stuff is such a pain in the @$$...
