for the camera following a point you could always use a 'dummy' unit instead of a point and have it follow the unit, but other than that you would have to keep 'panning' the camera to the specific point. im not totally sure there is no othe way though, my editor isnt open for me to look. but those are to options none the less...
A point can't move, so how would you have the camera follow a point?
If you just want to move the point from time to time, then just make the camera pan everytime you move the point.
