Yes of course. First I tought is is because I train more than one unit at once, but the button has nothing to do with this I think. The button for the train-order is assigned in the Train ability -> Info, right? So the bug has to be somewhere there I think!?
@Freddy2287: Go The icon used by the entry in the Train ability. Doesn't matter if multiple units are created by the same entry, the icon is defined by the button set up for that entry. The actor icon isn't realted to it, what you need to set up is the correct button.
@Freddy2287: Go You simply set a button for the entry, and use the icon you want, there's nothing forcing you to make it the same from the unit actor.
Yes, that's the field where you add the button. Remember the icon that will appear in the queue isn't the alert icon in the button's data, it's the icon from the icon field near the Hotkey field (if you use that type of data view).
@Freddy2287: Go I see nothing wrong in those screenshots. Try making a new button or using another one just to see what happens. Check if that's the train ability entry you're using, when the obivous doesn't give you a result start looking to the less obvious.
ok found the solution to this problem.
the button must be set within the ability AND on the command card of the training unit (i.e. baracks, larva, etc). that's why it didnt show because it automatically trained the units without a need to click them.
It's worth noting that the button doesn't need to be on a command card that's actually in use. You can stick it on card 10 or something and it'll still properly show when being trained.

Hi,
I asked this question in an other (very old) thread, but with no respone :)
I made a custom train ability that works automatic (periodic behaviour triggers "issue order" effect), but the training queue icons are bugged!
It looks like in this case:
click (taken from the old thread - not a screenshot I made, but it looks exactly the same.
Any ideas why this happens? I set the icon in the train ability, tried to set an alert icon for the button.. dont know why it does not work..
no one? :)
@Freddy2287: Go Checked the unit icon in the unit's actor UI tab?

@Freddy2287: Go the button for the train ability is set in each unit's entry.
Didnt know that. but which icon will be displayed when you train multiple Units via one Ability Command?
Which UI-entry in the actor is responsible for the icon? e.g. in my soldier the icon is set for Group icon, hero icon, unit icon and wireframe...

Hm... I cant really follow your toughts :) So I have to use the same icon for the button in the train ability in the units actor?
Or do I simply have to set a button in the ability? Because I thought i did: Under (Train ability)>Info>Train01>Default Button

So you mean the UI:Icon field!? There is value.... thats why i dont understand that it is not shown ingame
I've attached an image of the buttons configuration and one that shows the train ability... maybe you see what I've done wrong?

@FunkyUserName: Go
Massive necro, but whatever!
