I want to make a custom ability that is a grenade throw - like the grenades from the reaper but not as an auto attack on buildings. it has to be an ability where you can target at a point and throw the grenade there - i have ideas but got screw up trying to get this :o dont understand what exactly needs to be connected how together when i click my ability
and click somewhere that the missle effect appears and does damage on impact.
if someone could help me please, this would be really nice :)

Give me some time to do a Step by step "Tutorial" Creating a new Ability.

What ive done, is :
Removed Blink Ability requierement, change it effect do repader8launchmissile. Changed effect reaperd8launchmissile impact effect to Siege Tank - Arclite Shock Cannon (Damage) and impact location to target unit/point.
Giving the Marine the Blink Abilitys is the last step.
Thats a heck of a lot simpler than the version i made. I have it so that the grenades draw from a magazine and must be made before launching; and what a pain that was to do.
Instead of it going in a straight line, is there anyway that the grenade can arc?
Yeah, you have to change the "movers +" on the launch missile effect I believe. That and the mover effect of the projectile being launched. I used the Infestor Infested Terrans mover which causes a large ark. The key thing to look for in Movers is the word "Parabola"

Yay just changing stuff is quiet simple, but its hard to create this all just with new stuff.

did some cinematics this evening, lets see how this works tomorrow :)
You could copy the ReaperWeapon,Blink, and the Siege Tank Attack and then just delet unused Stuff.

I used triggered phisic for that, dunno if there is an arc movement editable by data editing

Works but the arc is a constant big arc. Is there a way to modify the value of how high the arc can be?

The best I can guess is to create a new mover with a parabola and fiddle about with the motion phases.
