Is there any type of editor that will create mpq/sc2mod files that will work with the 1.5 patch?
How can we insert new textures, models, sounds, AI scripts without any type of MPQ editor?
That's my problem, I need to be able to get AI scripts working in it too. Worst still, I've been using a main .sc2mod file that was created with mpqeditor that had months of work and custom AI scripts in it, and when the editor loads the map it's just an empty map like when there's a trigger error. I can't even get the AI scripts out to at least salvage the rest of it. Months of work, custom spells, all types of stuff, lost because.... man Blizzard is really pissing me off. If anyone knows a way around this problem please let me know.
@Captaintoottoot: Go Can I ask you how you managed to use custom AI scripts? I tried for over a year to get custom melee scripts into my mod but I get an error message and they don't work.
I would edit the galaxy files in the triggerlibs directory with notepad. Then I would open up MPQeditor and put the galaxy files into the triggerlibs directory in my sc2mod file. The scripting is very very very finicky. The tiniest thing it doesn't like and the whole thing won't start so I would have to take baby steps. I started to get the AI rocking and rolling with mass armies and whatnot, now all for nothing.
Thank you Blizzard for wasting months of my time by locking out... errr, "protecting" yourselves from the modding community. They might as well have posted "you can't mod our game anymore hahaha" on their main webpage.
This mpq thing is not good, I make some units(following with tutorials) and some of them have example map. and lot of them have copy things (such as Uberlisk) that much easier to copy with in xml data instead doing it in the editor. Mpq editor would great in some bugs, such as the protoss shield upgrade, where if you give two unit to the upgrade list, the last one overwrite the previous, but if you modified with mpq editor it is worked correctly.
Ragadozo88 is may account too. You can save sc2 components instead of map or mod file and then you can edit the xmls in notepad, and then save them to map or mod.
example:
mod file: mod.sc2mod
file/save as select sc2 compontent folders in roll menu. and save mod.sc2components. when saved closed this compontents in editor File/close.
go to this folders open it and look for the xmls you would like to modify, modify it and when you finished, closed the notpad, and open this folders with map editor, you can do this in the latest files section in file menu. When you reopened it with modifications, go to save as again and save it as sc2mod.
I don't tested the mpq since the first appear of this problem, so even they fixed it, I don't use it, but if they did it than the author of this topic could use it again.

@Captaintoottoot: Go There's an Import button in the editor for it. Although I could never make AI scripts work.

I find this: http://www.sc2mapster.com/forums/general/general-chat/40216-mpq-files-protected-after-1-5-patch/

I am pretty sure the problems with MPQEdit have been fixed over the last 2 and a bit years...
Blizzard is even planning to migrate from MPQs in SC2 3.0.
