This is going to sound silly, but does anyone know if there is a way to make a weapon affect that creates a region in that area on the fly and applies damage to all units in that area once the effect is triggered?
I know that I can take a look at the psi-storm effect and probably figure it out through there, but i'm more interested in seeing if there is a way to create a region on the fly.
If you just want to do damage in an area, I would not worry about triggers or creating regions, it would be a huge hassle.
Just use a "Damage" effect and give it an arc of 360 and a radius of whatever, and it will hit all units in that area.
You can even assign multiple arcs/areas and give a different damage value for each (for effects such as the tank who's aoe damage decreases as you get further from the target).
