Before learning about the whole "New Mod" concept at map creation, I was creating heroes for a project in a separate map. My question was, is it possible to convert a map to a mod in order to save my heroes?
When opening a new file you can either choose to create a Map, or a Mod....
A Mod is nothing but Data. No Terrain whatsoever.
There you can modify the objects as you like and save it as a Mod File. Then You can open a Map and add the Mod Dependency you made.

Bump for good luck?
You don't exactly convert the Map to a Mod. You just save the Data as an SC2Mod, so it can be applied later.
I think he means "how".
what the heck is a mod? can you transfer data between maps? IF so..that would be nice. I know you can do it with triggers, but units... =]
