SC2Mapster

Hello everyone!

I need help from someone who understands the Starcraft II editor. In the Starcraft 1 i created this fatastic map.

UPDATE Here is my version of the map in SC2

But for som reson i can't play it. When i press Ctrl+F9 the map load etc, but i don't start as Protoss/Zerg or Terran. Why?

Sulution: you have no map initialization trigger, try adding one.if you dont know how, click create new map, then go to triggers. there should be a trigger that says map initialization.copy and paste it into your maps trigger area.

UPDATE2 So far, so good :D

INFO: Map size: 128:128 starcraft 1 editor (maybe the same in SC2) Players: 6

I played it for years. and now them Starcraft 2 is out i tryed to remake it but i fail. I don't understand the program. So i ask you who understand this program to help me creat this one.

It should be really nice of you if you help me with this.

never used it and not sure if that work:

Click on File, and than on "Convert Legancy Map"

but, it's all black everywhere.

SC 2 have difrent textures than SC 1. So they may look kinda odd. You have to change them by yourself. Click on Map -> Map textures and than chose texture map that will be good for your map. Than you can paint it by using modules->Terrain option.

lol their is somthing about saying your own map is the best/funniest one you've ever played that just makes me go.... lol

why won't the map work? the map is loading, the map starts, but it's all black everywhere. no team is selected, nothing! just black.

when i try other maps then a team was selected, like i started as Terran.

but on mine, nothing.

Link a copy of the map... so we can see and test it

if its a normal melee map you need a trigger that has:

event: map initialization

action:  melee - set melee starting resources for all players
            melee - create melee starting units for all players
            melee - start the melee AI for all computer players
            melee - set default melee options for all players

EDIT: just checked your map, you have no map initialization trigger, try adding one.  if you dont know how, click create new map, then go to triggers. there should be a trigger that says map initialization.  copy and paste it into your maps trigger area.
