I have been doing some experimenting with trying to load custom maps on battle net custom games and I found out how! If this has already been posted im sorry....
anyway
to do this you have to find one of the official maps in your Appdata(C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Blizzard Entertainment\Battle.net\Cache\1d\e6\1de611462ee08df95ac412e1a6f74841f346ab1398e70114c9849f2679ab470f.sc2ma)(Twilight Fortress) and rename the custom map to it and replace it when youve created a custom game with a normal map. All the map names are letters and numbers but I found out how to trace which map it is by loading it and seeing which map file is in use keep in mind battle net only checks integrity of map file when creating the game not when your already in the created game lobby so your friends will have to do the same thing for it to load right everything works I posted this so people would be interested in making more than just single player maps
However, it looks like you can't get your own map displayed in the game creation. They are sending us the map listing and we can download them if we don't have them in cache (they just match the hash). I hope they are going to change that because it would be a real pain to send your map to Blizzard each time you want to test it.
"It should be noted that a hero's inventory does not work right now, as the Battle.net friends and microphone buttons override the inventory buttons." Haha, yeah, first thing that struck me when I saw the inventory buttons locations. ^^
I don't know if you are still testing, but if you are you could assign a hotkey to the inventory and align it left (container, not icons), that would probably make it work.
In GameStrings.txt Button/Hotkey/InventoryStorage=I

I'm thinking we'll have to reupload the map for any changes that are made.

Have fun :)
Cool, but a little inconvenient.
We got online multiplayer with custom maps to work with this, though.
It should be noted that a hero's inventory does not work right now, as the Battle.net friends and microphone buttons override the inventory buttons.
I did this a while ago with a friend. Since he didn't replace his map file it caused both our clients to crash.
Thanks for the trick :)

And in abildata.xml
