Hey,
i have added the "Mothership - Vortex" ability to a hero, but somehow it deals damage to the units it contains. The same spell on the mothership does 0 damage at all. Why on earth does the vortex spell kills my zerglings whenever its casted by my hero?
Well there are only 3 common ways to damage a unit. Damage effects can be the cause and the mothership has one for revealing units so maybe you accidentally altered it. Buffs can apply a negative life regen doing damage. Modify Unit effects can also be made to remove life.

Its exactly the same spell. There are no damage effects with an amount > 0 and theres no neg. life regen. Furthermore all behaviors buff "invulnerability".
I tried a new testmap, gave a probe the vortex spell and it works perfect.
People in cortex increase damage on the mothership and it spam kills invulnerable units. I knew this happened even from the start. However, I don't know how to fix your issue. Data isn't my thing.
Check the Effect - Kind fields of the Damage effects of the vortex ability and make sure they do not match any increases in the Combat - + - Modification - Damage Dealt+ fields of any buffs, attributes or veterancy behaviours.

Add in Effect - Flags at both Damage effects (Mothership - Vortex (Kill Force Field) and Mothership - Vortex (Visibility Dummy)) the flags:
"No Dealt Bonus (Fraction), No Dealt Bonus (Scaled), No Dealt Bonus (Unscaled)".

exact the same. modified it, but undid everything. (per strg z, so i undid everything).
cant explain what is going on there.

tested with a probe on my map... works fine too... something within my heros is a lil bit strange oO
wtf My Level-Veterancy makes the vortex go crazy oO
can anyone explain that....?
The level behaviour increases the unit's damage, which in turn makes the 0 damage vortex effect suddenly deal more than 0?

Curse PremiumPeople in cortex increase damage on the mothership and it spam kills invulnerable units. I knew this happened even from the start. However, I don't know how to fix your issue. Data isn't my thing.

Yeah. Thats it. Tested it with a level 0 unit: no dmg. As soon as he gets a level bonus, the vortex kills units.
Got it. HAHA! Took only only about 6 hours... -.-
