Hum, i did a "every second" trigger, which displays the value of this variable, but it always shows "0.0"...

Ok, this thread belongs to the trigger forum, as is see.

I want a simple "recount" and also generating a amount of "thread" per damage. more if its a tanking unit etc.

Add in Effect - Flags at both Damage effects (Mothership - Vortex (Kill Force Field) and Mothership - Vortex (Visibility Dummy)) the flags: "No Dealt Bonus (Fraction), No Dealt Bonus (Scaled), No Dealt Bonus (Unscaled)".

Yeah. Thats it. Tested it with a level 0 unit: no dmg. As soon as he gets a level bonus, the vortex kills units.

tested with a probe on my map... works fine too... something within my heros is a lil bit strange oO

Its exactly the same spell. There are no damage effects with an amount > 0 and theres no neg. life regen. Furthermore all behaviors buff "invulnerability".

I tried a new testmap, gave a probe the vortex spell and it works perfect.

exact the same. modified it, but undid everything. (per strg z, so i undid everything).

cant explain what is going on there.

Hey, i have added the "Mothership - Vortex" ability to a hero, but somehow it deals damage to the units it contains. The same spell on the mothership does 0 damage at all. Why on earth does the vortex spell kills my zerglings whenever its casted by my hero?

Awww... the only thing that was missing all the time was just the "effect - effect range" field in the ability. and i wasted hours in all the behaviors and effects tabs.

Thanks a lot so far, i can now target, but he only accepts my hero as an target, all those zerglings he refuses to attack.

Hello everyone, I'm about to make heros with different spells. But all the tutorials on the interwebz are about missle-damage-spells or something, but i need some damage dealing debuffs.

Simple debuffs dealing damage every x second. I tried many many ways, but i have no success.

Now i have an ability of type "Effect - Instant", linking to an ""Apply Behavior" effect due to "Effect - Effect". This "Apply Behavior" refers to a behavior of type "Buff" due to "Behavior - Behavior". This buff deals periodic damage with a "Damage" effect. Everything is fine so far, but i cant target anyone, the debuff is always applied to my caster unit.

What do i need to change?
