In my map every so often a unit becomes invincible yet has 0hp. I don't really know what could cause it.
There are upgrades that increase the max and current health of the units. If that is used while an invincible unit is around then usually the unit is killable again.
What units are these? Where did they come from? Quite a few "hero" type units in the campaign have Damage Response buffs that prevent their death.
It is possible to deal non-integer damage amounts (by default if armor>damage the attack will still deal 0.5 damage), combined with regeneration this might cause a displayed hp of 0.
Other than that, are you using any temporary hp buffs or modify hp via triggers?
If I remember them right, no campaign hero buff allows health to reach zero. I think they have a minimum of 5 or 10. So it shouldn't be the case unless there are other things involved.
Quite a few use the "fatal" flag, for example Kerrigan from WoL All In. The way that one's set up it won't normally let a unit reach 0 because it negates all damage that would kill.
The unit that it happens the most with is the Ultralisk, however it has occasionally happened with others. The units have had all their stats modified but nothing else.
The units survive for a very long time under constant attack so I dont think it could be regen.
I was wondering if perhaps it was something to do with the upgrade giving them health just as they were about to die getting them 'stuck' on 0hp but not dieing or something like that?
Identical units can be created and die normally, its just the occasional single unit that doesn't die. Even the same units owned by the same player alive at the same time die normally.
Hi there,

Many thanks for any help.

or you have reached the maximum amount of hitpoints possible (dunno the number right now)
Else regen is high enough to negate the last bit of damage.

Thanks for the responses.

what is the highest amount of hp possible?
@FunkyUserName: Go
I'd imagine it's the same as the highest integer allowed in triggers, 524,000.

i mean in his map. if it is above the allowed units do not die anymore as he described
Logical highest hp would be some integer of 2.

Its no where near the highest amount allowed.

Are all within the screen at once?

ok then. i think that "kill and upgrade" happens close to each other and the unit has negative hp for a very short moment.
