i have a question. do Pdd's effect a projectile by a damage amount? such as a marine attack. reason i ask is because i found this information:
Field Weapon - Punisher Grenades Stats: Life Maximum 10
If the Pdd does 10 damage to a projectile it techincally kills it. IFF this is true, then increaseing the projectiles life to say 20 then the pdd' uses 2shots to kill it?
Reason i ask is because i have herd of people asking how to depleate a pdd faster. if the above is true then its REALLY easy to fix. just make the health of a projectile to say 100so the pdd takes 10shots to kill it. lol
marine attack is not a projectile, but marauder shells are. any attack that's a ray or in which you don;t actually see anything flying to the target is not a projectile and won;t be stopped by PDD.
You could also decrease PDD starting energy if this fix doesn't work.

PDDs attack projectiles like regular units attack eachother. The problem is that they don't deal damage right now, they just use the "negate projectile" flag, which bypasses HP, armor and all other damage-related combat mechanics.
If switching to regular combat damage doesn't work you can stack a buff on the missile and require x stacks of it for the negation to occur.
Or just increase the energy cost of using the weapon/decrease energy values on the drone like thomulf said.

Thats new, they used to use a damage effect with the Kill flag set to true, instantly killing the unit it is executed on.
Anyway, all projectiles are just units and can take damage and be destroyed like any other unit, if they can be targeted. Changing the pdd to use a damage effect with a set amount of damage and the projectiles to a matching amount of hitpoints should do the trick.

ok thats what i was wondering. if the projectile just got voided out regaurdless of information like hp's.
i know how to make a pdd get depleated very fast, just up the cost of the attack to say 40energy. o.O. haha. or other things like that.

The damage effect of the point defence drone is purely so the beam actor can be launched properly by the action actor.
