Every time I test my map via the editor, it sets my race as T (as it should) which I set in player properties. However, over battle.net it changes to Zerg. Is there some option I can't find about overriding races when a map's on bnet?
I suggest avoiding the use of Player Properties in general. Set things up in the Game Variants. Using Player Properties has caused issues for me before.

I'm not 100% sure on this but I believe the game variant overides player property's. Here's a tutorial on setting up game variants:
