Doodads are purely an actor type so you need to check what model it uses and then create a Unit type actor that uses the same model. You then need to link this actor to a unit from the Units data type via the events. You can then select the owner of the unit when placing it in the editor.

how would i change/create a building that is a dodad into a building ether as a neutral or for a race?
