ive been looking thru the editor data working on creating custom upgrades as well as re creating story mode ones for some maps, but ive noticed that there appear to be more upgrades for some of the units/buildings etc.
as an example, the missile turret has
Hellstorm, Devistator and longbolt missiles.
can any one tell me what the devi and longbolt upgrades do? do they even work?
im just curious and would like to know if any one has found any other good upgrades that have not been used in the game but are in the editor, not being specific to any race.
There's a lot and most are pretty terrible (old Battlecruiser "laser torpedoes" ability on the Science Vessel, lol) the only good one I can think of is for the Diamondback called Burst Capacitors, it would have made them do extra damage for a short while after firing 3 shots in a row or something close to that that needed micro to use.
Most of the data for it is intact but I didn't try implementing it.
I found some, the only one I can remember now is the Dragoon's Singularity Charge, so yeah, an upgrade for a unit that isn't there. Most of them have simple effects like more damage, more speed and so on. The campaign upgrades are way more interesting than the scrapped ones.
Most are just dummy upgrades for requirements and validators that use requirements. They basicly are the upgrades given to your units via triggers when you purchase the upgrades in the campaign UI for credits.

yeah i like the ones from the campaign too, but at the same time i am curious about what upgrades and effects are there.
