I've been fooling around with this and have no idea where to begin. All of my attempts have failed.
I'm attempting to create an ability which attaches a cable from one unit to another, using the model GateControlCables_00.m3.
All of my attempts have lead to site operations failures, and I dont know if it's even possible to add attachment points. Does anyone have any actor tutorials/examples/whatever they can point me to?
The tentacle function is model dependent. Does your model have the Attacher bone? If not add it using blender or 3dmax. The attachment fields of the model/unit then link the attachment point and bone to a reference. The Missile actor on launch then uses a Reference Set event action to set the hosting of the attachment to itself. On missile impact/return it resets it to the original host.
Look at my power line demo map for the community project or under my data assets for how to set it up once you have a usable model.

Do not bump under 48 hours.
