I have been trying all day to figure out how in the hell to make a mod where i can grab all the stuff from campaign and story mod into one mod that i can edit and i just cant get it to work with new buttons that i add eg, Calldown supply depot or automated refinery or Merc compound they just dont show up in the game is there a guide for how to use the data edit or can somone please tell me how to fix this or link me to a thread that can!!
yeh i have been doing that i get all the stuff i need my point is after i set everything up as in make the SCV so it can build MERC compound dropdown supply depot etc it never shows up when i go into the map to play it either dissapears or its just the original stuff
validator / requiment for all this stuff are still there. They disable your ability.
i mean in single player u need to invest research point in order to do that.
Just disable requirment in build abilitys sub menu click.
ok im going to put this in really simple terms: All i want to do is make my SCV so it can build an Automated refinery and call down supply depot thats all

Change your dependencies to include campaign and anything else you need.

Tech Tree - Add 1 (Upgrade) to (Player)
Upgrade = story mode lab tech - automated refinery or story mode lab tech - call down supply depot
Player = the player you want to give this technology
Look at my map "Tech Comp Stomp - Extinction" by incubus
