Hmm, if you wanted a buff that effected a bunch of abilities (say reduce their cost by 10%), how would you do this though? Without creating multiples of the same abilitiy with different costs?
In Wc3 didn't you used to be able to have a buff that would simply effect the cost of all the units abilities?
Well it looks like you can't get around this without using upgrades as far as I can see. This is incredibly tedious and lots of work even for just 1 hero when you have multi-leveled abilites ;(
Hmm does is also mean there is no way to do this PER UNIT as opposed to per player - since upgrades are per player.
Is it impossible to buff a unit for 30 seconds, during which time it's abilities cost half? (Without effecting other units owned by the same player of the same type)?
You could just double mana, max mana and mana reg for the duration ;)
Yeah, it's not really the same though - we should be able to do this sort of thing, it was fairly easy in Wc3 as far as I remember. Oh well hopefully they add something for it, it's not a big deal at the moment but would add more variety to what we can do with abilities.

In wc3 there was no possibility to change mana costs at all, without replacing the ability.

As the title says, does anyone know the easiest way to have a separate ability that reduces the energy cost/cooldown of other abilities that unit has?
Do you need to use validators or upgrades etc for this to work, or is there an easier way?
