Yet again this has been extended. This should NOT need any kind of a bigger extension. Anyway this months MCE is A Day In A Life. Choose a unit/units and show some or all of what you would expect to see in a day of it's life. Doesn't need to be serious at all. Feel free to use some of the terrain from the WTE to help you with your terrain needs. Also please give ideas in the Idea thread (link at the bottom) cause I'm fairly bad with ideas. Anyways good luck and please participate. Event Ends May 1st
No triggers are allowed I won't restrict those. The point is to get better with the CSE, even if you only use it minimally. But it's fine with me if you use triggers.
You should really spend the time reading the manual. Took me 4 hours to put together a 2 minute video on my first sit down. There are limitations, but if you combine both methods you can really do a lot more.
I've got the first scene done, it's looking really good so far.
The whole cinematic revolves around a small Agria town out in the middle of nowhere, right before the Zerg invade and Raynor arrives. A squad of Dominion Marines have been sent to check that Raynor hasn't arrived there, nor the Zerg. But what they encounter is a couple of Mercenaries who say the words YOLO and SWAG too often, a Mayor who has a Rubber Ducky decide politics for him, and a group of Nerds who like playing in the flower fields and hacking Dominion security networks on Agria.
I haven't come up with a name yet, but me and my two brothers have been doing voices. I do a good majority of the voices, but Mayor Kent and several of the Nerds aren't me. I hope to get this cinematic to at least 10 minutes long.
I can't work on it right now as I can't do any voice recording (Everybody is asleep)... But I SHALL PREVAIL!!
Most people don't have the time or have people to record if they even have a mic to record with. But kudos to you for incorporating it I always like seeing that.
If you guys have ideas for future MCEs lemme know. I love that you guys are participating. I'd just like to make these as fun as possible and themes are a lot of what that consists of.

Little question : should we ABSOLUTELY use the cut-scene editor ? Or would it be possible to use the editor and triggers?

I'll be entering in this one.
Fantastic to hear I've been dying for someone to enter. You have less than a week before a new event though.
It's OK. I'm doing a simple idea. I just want to try and contribute a bit to this portion of the community that's helping me out so much.
No clue how to do cinematics in the cinematic editor, so I'll just submit one made of triggers.

If you like making trigger cutscenes, you might enjoy CSE cutscenes more. Also you can create much more complex things With the Cutscene editor.
Maybe... however I'm decent with triggers and such for now. I'll have short film out by the 29th probably. Probably soon if it's done right.

I'd be happy to hear either of you are participating regardless of method of cinematic creation.
I'm not actually participating in this one, but I did submit the start of what I've made for the BWCE #6.

Anyone else doing anything with voices?
Totally off-subject, when I was going through civilians.. I noticed Sylvester Stallone...

Small question, how hard is it to record voices for this kind of thing?
Not hard. As easy as importing a texture I'd imagine. I'm doing voices, but I'm also not releasing a map file, I'm rendering to video.

Firefight.
Something intense like this:
Something from the eyes of one soldier, or squad... but put it in the SC2 Universe.
Hey, I'll probably have to postpone my scene to the 30th... totally forgot about it today and I want to play another game tonight beside SC2. >_>
