I would like to have this pack converted so that it can be used in Starcraft 2. It was an extremely well made pack, and could prove very useful for Terraining, or fantasy setting projects.
The models are simply doodads so they do not require any animation, except perhaps the fires and waterfall.

I personally would really like to use these in a project, and I am sure others would to, so I would greatly appreciate it if someone could do this.
My map has a full fantasy setting and I managed to keep it under the 10MB limit. Use WoW models, it's alot easier to convert M2 to M3 than WC3 models to M3.

Hmm, there should be a guide on how to best maximize a map`s file size. Ive already hit the limit a few times, but managed to bring it down. A "tips and tricks" tutorial could be helpful. Still, If only Blizz could make it 15 megs.

I know :( And this is only a portion of what I would really like to have. I tried to do it myself but I wasn't able to get past importing the model into 3DsMax.
If I could find (or someone could write) a step by step tutorial on how to convert .mdx to .m3, I would do it all myself.

Hmm, I had thought that custom dependencies were already up and running. Well in anycase it would take some time to make the map, and by then likely dependancies would be working.
It was always my intention to use dependencies. 40mb in dependancies, plus maximum 10mb for the map itself. And in the patch notes for 1.2.0 it says "Maps can now depend on even more mods."
And beside that, as well, the Sc2 compression seems to be pretty damn good to me.

We will get a guide on dependencies when it came live and fix it. 40 MB of assets will solve most of the problem.
When did they said it will be 15 megs ? My brain is not functioning right now.

how to make a custom dependancy? i want to start abusing WOW models in my map :D
