Hi I have an image (PNG) that I want to place on a melee map as sort of a logo and/or hide an image (easter egg) somewhere like on some other terrain or doodad. What is the best way to do this? I read a quick tutorial on custom textures but I wasn't sure if any of it applied to what I'm trying to do. I want the image to stick to some other part of the map as if it was graffiti if that's possible. I'm really new to the map editor, so be specific as possible.
Unfortunately, I do not have too much knowledge with the art and textures part of the editor. However, it might help to take a look at how the blimp has its advertisements since that seems like what you are wanting to do. You could also check the link in my signature for a wiki with tons of tutorials that may be helpful. Good luck!
The blimp is a unit that is really for decoration located on a lot of maps in the background. It floats and has advertisement images on it. But what those other people said will probably be more useful than looking at a something you don't understand.
The texture select by ID method is one you should know to make a decent map. Read my signature for the link.
As stated just look at various splat models till you find one that suits your needs.
The links in your signature no longer seem to work. If anyone would be willing to create to create me a custom decal such as a rock or something to place a small picture. The idea is it can be placed somewhere on the map like an easter egg (where's waldo) so people can look for it.
I would love to do both images but one is fine too. It doesn't matter what the decal is, just a rock with the image on it or even a tree or hill or whatever makes sense is cool. If someone has time I would really appreciate it. Or if that's asking too much, if someone could link me to a tutorial on making a custom decal.

You need to place a decal kind of model, which projects a texture on the ground.

Check any models that have Decal in their name. Place one on the map to see how they work.
Then you can use Texture select by ID methid to swap its texture to the desired one. Or ask someone to make you a premade decal with your texture.
